Not having that. I can't believe you passed up a proper Scottish ceilidh for Mario Kart. That's not real life. |

| If there's one thing I hate more than loud noise and not sleeping, it's dancing. Can't stand it, in any form. Mario Kart >> any kind of jiggling your legs about in front of other people. |

| I'm usually the same - the prospect of clubs sounds miserable these days to me - but there's nothing quite like a ceilidh at a wedding. Plus the obligatory Runrig to see out the night, of course. |

| I've moved house! And it's about as far away from night clubs as you can get: I now live in leafy green old-folk populated Tory stronghold, Sevenoaks. The air quality and scenery are noticeably nicer: the conversation, not so much. (The first pub we went to had a bunch of old folks sitting at the next table, talking about how trans people weren't a thing.) As a result we've been buying new furniture, and the flat is now 35% packing polystyrene. You know those little balls that static-stick to everything? That's them. They're everywhere. Nothing interesting to come from this, just wanted to moan about it really. |

| Snap! Although I moved about a 10 minute walk away but it's an upgrade in terms of size and niceness of the street on the old place, thankfully my area isn't a Tory stronghold but sadly not leafy green either. |

| Nah not bought anything new yet, got a good ol' IKEA trip planned at the weekend though (definitely one of the best parts of adulting). |

| Flatpack assembly is definitely one of the worst parts of adulting, I can't even do funny sarcasm because I hate it that much. Murder on the hands and the back (if you're an unfit person like me or my assembly partner), and of course Fun Polystyrene Moments. May your assemblies be swift and your screws go in the right angle first time[/oohmatron] Smurf. |

| I moved about a month ago! My partner and I bought a flat. We also got a cat. I then went and worked in Caithness for a week. Now I have a week off where I'll try and get some flat admin done while the cat gets in the way. I thankfully am not surrounded by Tories, because the bit of Edinburgh I live in is pretty staunchly SNP with some Green and Labour thrown in. |

I should clarify it wasn't sarcasm on my part, I love doing it, mainly because it's one of the few practical things I can do without failing miserably. |

| Oh. Right. I probably don't fail miserably (detailed instructions! It's just like Lego), it's just hard tedious work and you end up with a mountain of alum keys you never use again. - Rum wrote:

Congratulations Rum! Pictures of cat please? (We do have a pets thread, it's been untouched for ages...) What's its name? |

| Flat-packed furniture is child's play, it doesn't even count as real DIY.
I got off a plane, slept in a hostel, carried my 20kg suitcase, 20kg backpack, other backpack and bag of souvenirs across Tokyo, on two more trains and then across Nagano, got home, unpacked and built a flat-packed shelving unit on Monday.
You're weak and puny, Balla, your bloodline is pathetic and you bring shame on your ancestors. |

Norman is a sweetie. Apart from the first picture, where he wants to tear you apart. While still being a sweetie. Also I presume you know this, but in the third picture? That's his bag now. |

| I finally cashed in a birthday present from last year yesterday, it was the Crystal Maze Experience in Manchester and it was a ruddy good time. For anyone that's seen the show (the original mainly) it does a good job or mirroring the feel of it with some of the tasks and the "zany" guide who took us around the Maze. There were 4 of us that went but time constraints and the like meant we had to merge with a family of 4 which for a shy boi like me felt a little awkward but I managed to get involved and there wasn't much awkwardness by the end, that being said I'd say it'd be a lot more fun if you know the whole team.
I managed to ace the two tasks I went in to and got both my crystals with time to spare but there's definitely a good mix of tasks in there for everyone, enjoyable stuff. |

This is what always happens at things like paintball and laser quest, and is why I've never quite had the ultimate experience. |

| I do think we'll try and get more people in on it and go again, the good thing is there seemed to be quite a few tasks we didn't do and even then only one person tries so there's potential in another visit for sure. - JayMoyles wrote:

I'd say so, he had his own backstory and character as I believe all the hosts do but you can tell he was having fun with it, making jokes and referencing the lore of the maze. |

| I see that Ash and Pikachu are officially retiring from tv show. Apparently we're getting 11 more episodes with them before the end. I've not watched any of the show for many years but I kind of want to see them go. Can't imagine the tv show without them. |

This is one of those things that internet speculators like to predict every few years. What excites me is not the idea of seeing the show without Ash, but seeing Ash have little cameos now and then but a bit older and wiser. I don't regularly keep up with the show or anything, but I always catch the films if they're in theatres and I watch the episodes sometime to practice basic Japanese. |

| And Ashexander wept, for he saw that he had no more leagues to conquer.
Basically now that he's actually a Champion, it makes absolute sense to have somebody else take over as protagonist. Then in fifteen years the two can face off. |
