Sony have shocked the world by stating they intend to show off only one game at this year's E3 - Don Bradman Cricket '16 will be playable on the show floor, and their conference will consist of the crowd being pelted by cricket balls shot from high-powered cannons.

In a bid to diversify their output, WayForward are working on a rhythm game for iOS, Android and Steam. Featuring their popular half genie character Shantae, the game consists of various sea shanties whose rhythms you have to tap out on screen/keyboard, all composed by the team's usual music ace, Jake Kaufman. The big reveal will be at E3 with the game expected to land before 1/2 Genie Hero. Working title: Shantae and the Pirate's Verse.

The upcoming release of BoxBoxBoy is only to prepare gamers for the title Nintendo has chosen for the series of games that will follow its New Super Mario Bros. series: Super Super Mario Bros., the first of which will be a launch title for the NX.

Shovel Knight is confirmed to be making cameos in a bunch of other games. In the next Cooking Mama, you'll be able to use his helmet as a miniature oven. Then he puts his helmet back on before it's cooled down, and (in a hilarious cut-scene) Mama laughs uproariously to the sizzle of burning scalp.

Shovel Knight will be a playable character in Animal Crossing NX. He will be equipped with the best shovel in the game from the beginning and have the special rank 'Shovel Mayor'. Scanning the Shovel Knight amiibo will make special SK-themed clothing available.
