| I'm so tempted (I've been spoiled for every PPV by the mystery Reddit chap who was leaking the results since Elimination Chamber) but I'm going to hold out. SummerSlam seems like such a good PPV and I think many of the matches could go either way. I want to be surprised. |

| Click on it after the event and see if those results are right, I guess. I'll still watch it though. |

| It's possible that what you've posted above is fake. Reddit apparently has a few users with the 'Dolphin1925' username (or a variation of it), and usually the guy only posts the results minutes before the PPV airs. There's also rumours that this guy has been shut down by WWE, and won't be posting spoilers.
Now if you'll excuse me... *closes eyes, taps blindly at keyboard* |

Yeah, that Dolphins guy has been on the money since the Chamber PPV. I'll be surprised to see him tonight though considering the media coverage his MiTB results got. |

| Summerslam (2013) chat, after watching it online: - Spoiler:
A few orders of business.
It was hyped as a two match card, but did those two matches deliver. Super-heated, super-dramatic and everything Bryan, Cena, Lesnar, Punk, Triple H, Orton and Heyman did was spot on. True, I'd have been happier if Daniel Bryan had left as the champion, but that's just me speaking as a fan. After three years of being in a support role if was the perfect time for Orton to gatecrash the headline scene again and a perfect way for him to initiate his persona change. Bryan has got it made as the company's lead good guy in a feud with Vince McMahon, Triple H and their corporate champion Randy Orton. Remember when there was talk about turning Bryan heel? Thank Christ they didn't. It's all set up for him to be the #1 guy.
Most of the rest wasn't half bad either. Christian/Del Rio in particular was really good. I trusted them to have a solid undercard match, but they surpassed expectations last night.
Performance of the night had to go to Bray Wyatt. As in: worst performance of the night. I can't recall if I put it in this thread, but I've thought for the longest time that the gimmick would fall to pieces the moment he had to work a lengthy PPV match. I don't think the inferno gimmick can be used as an excuse; his timing was rubbish and he looked like shite. I know folk here quite like him, but in my opinion he's the drizzling shits.

| SummerSlam opinion - Spoiler:
Incredible pay-per-view with three excellent matches (John Cena/Daniel Bryan, CM Punk/Brock Lesnar, Christian/Alberto Del Rio). I can't be angry about the finish to the show, even if it was the finish that many expected/dreaded, because it was all very well done, and creates interest going forward. Something started clicking with WWE a few months and this was a great culmination to some of what has been building. As The Hobo Kid Shawn Michaels said after the Punk/Lesnar match "thank you".

| Thoughts on Summer Slam - Spoiler:
Loved the ppv on the whole I didn't think anything was going to top the ADR & Christian match but thankfully they did, I'd have to say I enjoyed the punk/Lesnar match the most & its left me wanting more as it seemed unfinished in terms of the story.....would love to see this end in a HiTC match at the same named ppv in October.
I was expecting phillips to tear into the wyatt, while it wasn't great from a technical point of view (from both wrestlers) I thought they told a very good story, personally I think they didn't give Wyatt enough offence & he'd also thrive more with an opponent who has a slightly smaller build.
Overall I'd say its too early to judge him after his first ppv match.

| Sorry Jatser, though I usually agree with your opinion's on WWE, I can't defend Wyatt. The reason I tear into Bray Wyatt is because he really is absolutely pish. Even the wrestlers involved would admit that the Ring of Fire match was the lowlight of the card, and perhaps of any WWE PPV this year. It wasn't ever going to be great from a technical point of view, but I don't think anyone can say that the substandard quality of the match was a compatibility issue; Kane has worked better matches with bigger opponents. I feel sorry for Kane. Wyatt as got nowt going for him. It should have been him being punched by The Miz in a comedy segment last night, not anybody else on that roster. |

| My thoughts - main events killed it in terms of storytelling, passion, in-ring ability and just being generally entertaining. Del Rio/Christian was a surprising treat.
I feel bad for Wyatt, because I know he can do better. I've seen him do better on NXT, and I know a lot of people will be judging him on a wanky first match. He'll shine through when he's up against someone he can annihilate. I reckon Kane was a terrible choice for his first match - the heel should have dominated the match, not vice-versa, and Kane is past it as a singles wrestler. Chuck Wyatt into a feud with a smaller guy and he'll shine through. I do see why folk would be down on Wyatt after that match, because it was shockingly awful. I just don't think he should be written off yet.
This tweet I read pretty much sums it up: "The blame cannot be placed on Kane and/or Bray Wyatt. You have two guys who typically wrestle a brawling style and you confine them to the middle of the ring. The match did not allow them to brawl outside of the ring or even do much near the ropes. They were put in a shit situation and people expected more out of the match than was possible. Overall, the match served the purpose of progressing the story. We've seen Bray Wyatt in NXT. He's a good wrestler. If he starts stinking it up in normal matches then that is a whole different situation. We can't write him off for having a bad gimmick match, mind you a gimmick match that has only been done 5 times in the history of WWE." |

| I wonder if nerves and/or the heat go to Bray Wyatt in the match? Can't be easy being a husky gentleman in that heat in the biggest match you've ever had. |

| One plus to Randy Orton being WWE Champion (aside from the fact that Daniel Bryan is being positioned as the guy on Raw) is the custom sideplates on his belt, these are ace. |

| I feel you should all know - allegedly according to Dave Meltzer, incoming comedy jobber tag-team Los Matadores will be accompanied to the ring by a midget wrestler called Mascarita Dorada. I don't know how to react to this. |

| As Santino Marella, William Regal, Drew McIntyre, Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal would likely agree, a comedy gimmick - and a WWE paycheck - is better than nothing. You never know, it could take off. I like their chances as matadors better than I like the chances of someone like Ted DiBiase, Ezekiel Jackson, or any of the other wrestlers that have been off TV for so long that I wouldn't blame you if you thought they'd retired. |
