| The tension, mainly: most of us have a stomach-tightening terror of letting everybody else down. Plus, OfSTED inspectors tend to be really rude and impersonal. What's worse, this time, one of my finest colleagues got marked down because a) her computer didn't work and b) the attendance of her class was really bad. |

| Spider-Man! I don't know why, but I'm on a real spidey kick at the moment, rounding out my figure collection and catching up on comic books. I got a Spider-Man calendar for 2014... |

| Old Monster Movies 20 Million Miles to Earth was on the telly today. It's one I'd seen before, but it's a good fun film. I love all the generations of monster movies; stop motion, men in rubber suits knocking over model cities and even some more modern ones. But for me, the older and cheesier the better. I don't need anything clever, I just need a dinosaur scaring female stereotypes and smashing famous landmarks. |

| Ah, spring. When it's sunny enough to provide vitamin D and a general sense of well-being, without being uncomfortably warm (I'm still sleeping in my pyjamas). The days are getting longer, and there are still a few refreshing showers. All is green and in bloom. Truly the best season. |

| The feeling of going from having tons of hair to having a cut and almost none. The feeling of a fresh cool breeze smacking you in the head after a hair cut is just awesome! Plus I don't feel like I'm wearing three beanies 24/7 now, I probably should have hair cuts more often given how thick it is. |

| Studying. Okay, not the actual studying itself, but the fact that it gets me out of the office for three weeks. I'd rather take an exam than stay until 7 every night. |

| Ask me again in two weeks and I may have changed my tune! For now, it's just nice to be as far away from the office as possible. The person doing my extra-important only-I-can-do-it job does have my e-mail, though. So I doubt I've really seen the back of it all. |

| Not studying Or more accurately, just generally living on my own and not with my parents any more. After visiting my family and seeing my brother and sister who are still at school, I was reminded how much I absolutely hated having to go. It feels super nice being at home and just doing what I like, which is generally very little. |

| After touching upon British culture in the Chat Thread, and coming to the conclusion that I'm not keen on much of it, I thought I'd come in here to defend what I feel is an unfairly maligned aspect: cuisine. The below are wonderful: - Yorkshire pudding, especially in toad-in-the-hole.
- The Sunday roast, especially with Yorkshire pudding. Roast pork with crackling and apple sauce is my favourite though.
- Game. Not pigeon, which is really bitter, but the other game birds are lovely.
- British variants of foreign foods. I'm not much of a fan of vindaloos, since the one I tried actually singed my lips, but I will go a bundle on pretty much any other curry (although what's with adding potatoes when you're already eating it with rice?). And Anglicised Asian food is absolutely wonderful.
- The great English breakfast. No more need be said.
Can't defend most of the puddings (spotted dick (behave)? Eccles cakes? Bakewell tart? Give me a good gateau any day), but our savouries get a lot of (in my opinion) undeserved flack. |

| Midnight walks around the town. I had a headache earlier and the pain meds weren't doing anything so I went out for a quick trip to the local supermarket who while being closed had some vending machines I planned on buying from. Aside from some very mild paranoia because of the busted leg it was lovely, the town was completely quiet and the winter air was fresh and cool while the skies were clear. |

| The 'swearing' on soap operas. "You flippin' cow!" is a classic example: we all know what they mean! It's cute, in a way. |

| CHRISTMAS!
I love Christmas. I'm gonna be drawing the Secret Santa and that's basically when it begins. I can start thinking about buying presents when I get paid on Friday, and soon it'll be December 1st and I can put up my tree and wear my christmas jumper and listen to christmas songs and christmas my christmas christmas! CHRISTMAS! |

| Christmas is fun in its place and, more crucially, time. Its time is not the middle of November. Come the 25th or thereabouts, I'll be all over Christmas - mulled wine, pigs in blankets, general family, sparkly things. But right now, it just makes me grumpy.
Also, I am really really keen on National Novel Writing Month, mostly because it allows me to socialise with lots of strange and interesting people that I wouldn't otherwise meet. One lady turns up every write-in wearing a Vaporeon scarf that she handmade. You just don't get that sort of interesting thing from your average Londoner. |
