| Interesting. Won't save you from a bluey, though.
(Of course, you say "the first console Mario Kart to display other people's items": not only do I count the DS and 3DS as consoles ("home console", maybe?), but split-screen Mario Kart has always had the ability to see the other person's item. So really, MKWii and Super Circuit are the only Mario Karts where other people's items have been invisible.) |

BURN THE SCREEN-WATCHER!!!! (I jest: it never bothered me since I just assumed everyone has a rough idea form the excited/disappointed yelps of each competitor as they get an item, but I had some Uni friends who had fierce debates on the morals of screen-watching!) |

| Yeah GAMEs is weird you can buy the standard edition with wheel for £40, or the limited edition for £50 and get NO bonus what so ever & you would have to but the wheel on it's own for £10.
The best deal has to be Nintendo's store it's the game at RRP with the t-shirt. So I might preorder the limited edition from them as it looks kinda cool plus it's rare you see a limited edition game that isn't zelda, so might be worth a few bob in the future.
Has anyone used Nintendo's store. |

Has anyone used Nintendo's store. Yep. Its basically a Zavvi / The Hut storefront. There's even a "Thank you for buying from The Hut" receipt. I got ALBW with a musical treasure chest from them, no problems. |

| The Golden Dash Mushroom keyring will be available for those who pre-order at Littlewoods and Very, while the Bullet Bill keyring is a pre-order item for Grainger Games, Game Centre, 365 Games, Game Seek, Base.com, Playtime, The Games Exchange, That Game Shop, Gamescene, Xpress Games. The Red Shell keyring seems to be a Nintendo webstore thing.
Also, if you buy Super Mario Kart digitally on VC, you'll get £5.49 off MK8 digitally too. |

| Am I the only person who doesn't give a flying fillip about any of these? I just want the game, damn it, and the cheaper the better.
I did go to GAME specifically to get the squeezable Boo that came with LM2 (who is beside me as I type, in fact), but that aside, I don't really care about pre-order bonuses. I might make an exception if the bonus is a cuddly toy. |

I might make an exception if the bonus is a cuddly toy. For me, its less about the tat and more about the promotion. Nintendo are clearly making a big effort to promote MK8 here. I think they realise that if this game doesn't shift Wii U units, very little else will. I've never seen a version of a game with so many different editions. |

| I meant for myself. I'm happy that they're promoting it (although they really should try simply advertising a game for a change), but I really don't care about acquiring the tat. |

Definitely not the wheel #NoMoreFloatingSteeringWheelsInSpacePlease The other things do look nice - the trouble is I have to find somewhere to put all the pre-order tat! |

I might make an exception if the bonus is a cuddly toy. For me it depends on the game, the last big pre-order bonus/special edition I got was Ni no kuni & the next one I have my eye on is dark souls II. |

| With Balladeer on this - I've no interest in any of the pre-order extras. I could either change my Zavvi order and get the blue shell edition for £54.99, or keep my existing order and get the game on it's own for £26 less...nah.

| I wanted the limited edition but then realised I'd be paying £20 more for a keyring that would make my keys uncomfortable, a T Shirt I wouldn't wear and a statue that would just take up more space. Nice of them to do it but it's not for me. |

| So.... I found it amusing that NintendoAmerica retweeted this song, simply because it makes fun of the Wii U's game drought. Its not something you'd expect an official account to endorse.
