| I don't think it necessarily means that those mindsets are racist though, I do see where you're coming from though. - balladeer wrote:
Do agree that the Toad thing is stupid, though. Although I do now want to see a black Toad That might well be a slippy slope to go down, I'd feel if they done that it'd somehow just be spun into a negative depending on how it was handled. |

| Racist thing is a bit daft in Mario Kart because you can play as Mii.
Now, if the same accusations were thrown at Animal Crossing, I could completely understand. I think someone's just trying to "cash in" on the Tomodachi controversy. |

| Racist is completely the wrong term here, sure they didn't think to include characters of a different skin colour as where the game is developed it isn't the norm, does not mean it's meant as a negative view on another race, just an oversight, much like the Tomodachi situation. Anyway are they forgetting Metal Mario and Rose Gold Peach. |

| So that settles it then my main character will be Metal Mario. So excited for this now especially after reading over the old MK7 thread (cheers fronkhead!) I just hope that we can get regular race nights on the go. |

| If you really wanted to troll me, you'd go for PGP. Or Baby Daisy.
And yes, it should be fun. There seems to be a surprisingly small amount of buzz about it on here, though. Maybe because so few people have Wii Us? Quite surprised that nobody's buying one for this game, actually... |

| Same haven't got much to say on it either, it's mario kart it be great. We know everything there is to know about it like tracks, characters, so what do we talk about in till we actually have it are hands and tell everyone how we are finding it and wanting to setup some online. |

| I'm really excited. Its just that suddenly, Indies decide that THIS is the perfect time to release all their games on Nintendo platforms, so I'm not that desperate for something to play. |

| I'm super duper excited! I haven't watched much stuff on it lately so so the tracks and things should be pretty fresh on the day. Also,I decided to main PGP even before I found out it would annoy Balla (I normally go with regular peach). |

| I "mained" Baby Peach last time - just annoying enough to other people, without being too annoying to me. I may as well do the same again. |

| Whaaaaaaaaaat!? These look like the best remixes I've seen so far, with both the vehicle transformations and the zero-g sections adding far more than in previous series iterations. The only disappointments seem to be Dry Dry Desert and ( ) Grumble Volcano. In particular, the latter was the track that most needed substantial alteration... and didn't get it. |

| I'm either going for Yoshi like I've done since the N64 or Rosealina or possibly a koopaling when online if there's 7 of us playing we've got one each. |

| So, Nintendo are partnering with the UK TV channel E4 to show MKTV races at prime time....
http://www.thedrum.com/news/2014/05/23/e4-partners-nintendo-mario-kart-8-launch
If a games site doesn't use "Nintendo avoiding E3 and going to E4" as a headline, I'll be disappointed. Ads apparently begin tonight. |

| To be honest, I've never been one for buzz - it makes spoilers for certain games. The excitement comes when the game is in my hands/Wii U/3DS.
Anyway, I'm probably playing as Toad, though equally it might be time to play as someone other than the big-hatted goon. |
