I love what they've done with the GBA tracks. But no blue mice?
The woods track reminds me of the Nopon Village from XC.
EDIT: Also, Baby Park's entirely in Zero-G. Should be interesting, with people trying to bump into each other more. (I must confess, half of me wanted to see it completely changed, with the track going onto one of the overhead rollercoasters or something.)

I'm so stoked about Ribbon Road and how bloody great it looks, it was a big favourite of mine on in super circuit and the changes to it look fantastic.

Pretty sure Nature Road is called Wild Woods here. Lingling Metro is named Subway Station (think there's another word, I just forgot)
Aye the Metro one is called Super bell subway, once again we strike out with the better names.

You should all be banhammered for not talking about the Big Blue remix.

Unbelievable. There's games that EDGE have given [10] that aren't as good as that.

I haven't listened to these yet. Give me time...
EDIT: Goddamnit they haven't remixed Koopa City at all! Not that it really needed it, but still. Also Baby Park is back to seven laps.

Could you not choose the amount of laps in Double Dash, either I dreamed it or I remember doing like a 20 lap baby park because that would amazing. Either way stoked it been restored to it's former glory.

You could only put it up to 9, I think.
Thursday, gents! Thursday it all comes out into the open! And due to work commitments I likely won't be able to play any of the new stuff until the weekend, if then! Hooray!!!

I was just going to ask if everyone was up for this on Thursday evening, feel like we haven't given this a fair crack of the multiplayer whip compared to MK wii so I expect to see you all on Thursday.

Aye that'd be great! As I'd really like to have some races where we can set the rules.

The second DLC is top stuff! The track highlight for me is definitely Ribbon Road as it has everything I like in a track, I'd probably say it's the best updated old track in the game as well.
200cc can get pretty hectic online & if you happen to get pummelled by a tonne of weapons you can forget about a comeback.

I gave the tracks a run last night and, I don't know if it was just my bad mood, but I was unimpressed. I quite liked Ribbon Road but none of the other tracks left much of an impression, minus Cheese Land which quickly earned the title of worst track. 200cc doesn't appeal to me at all either.

Don't worry about it, you are just getting old. Soon you will yelling at kids to get off your lawn.
I haven't downloaded them you, perhaps when I do we will see if this old man is grumpy as well.

I will say I'd just had a pretty naff day at work and my mood really was pretty awful. I'm pretty convinced that I'm not going to touch 200cc though, I'm pretty poor at racers at the best of time and all the talk I've heard around it has convinced me I won't enjoy it whatsoever.

I'm nervous about this too, I must admit. I was never much good at F-Zero, or at braking in general. Too impatient.

Played bit this afternoon, like Shanks I've still got loads to unlock like Mirror Mode but not to bothered about that as it's online where I want to play now but again, I've gone online and what to we end up playing Toad Turnpike not any of the AOC urghh. Nintendo patch in a option, that on the menu when you press + make a AOC only section.
Also I can't seem to find 200cc part from online which did make Toad Turnpike interesting.

I played a bit of the new DLC today and loved all of it, every last bit of it. All the tracks were really interesting and fun. I had forgotten all about Baby Park and that is brilliant - sublimely simple. Ribbon Road is easily the prettiest racing track you will ever see and fun to boot. Cheese Land, whilst looking a bit 'desert', is still great and Wild Woods is a standout. Super Bell Subway is a good new track and F-Zero makes you pine for a proper F-Zero game.
I won't be seeing the 200cc for a while. I assume you unlock it when you beat all of the 150cc Cups, and I have only have one trophy on 100cc, let alone anything on 150cc. It should spur me on to beat the 100cc, but knowing me, in 10 years time I will be saying the same thing.

Yeah, I don't really think that 200cc is for me. There's a huge amount of skill involved in braking just enough to not fall off/hit the wall on the bends, while at the same time not braking too much to kill the powerslide. I'll probably stick to 150cc ta (in which I've tripled-starred both new cups! ).
The new tracks are good stuff, though. Baby Park might be one that works better in 200cc. Super Bell Metro is a pain in the backside, but it's good fun.
I notice a giant Yoshiibo in Ribbon Road. Cheeky advertising there, Nintendo!

I'm up for Mario Kart Sunday too.
I also echo the thoughts on 200cc. It's just too big a change and the courses aren't really designed for this speed, so I'm finding myself having to memorise where to brake and what to do when it should just come naturally. Then again, maybe more time with it will help, but I just can't see myself getting used to all the little nuances the faster speed brings.
