| Saw The LEGO Movie last night. Not quite the laugh riot I was expecting - the first half was somewhat uneven but the second half kicked its ass good-style. Recommended! |

| Loved The Lego Movie to bits! Were I a kid again I think it would impact me the way Toy Story did back in the day, just so much fun without been typically stupid kid's fare. Really made me want to buy Lego City: Undercover too... |

| Yeah same, I keep forgetting about this movie for the most part until the new issue of the comic comes out then I forget about it again as up to now there was nothing.
Did notice the Collector in there from Thor 2 which is interesting |

| I'm yet to see Thor 2,
I saw waterstones tweet about them having graphic novels about GOTG, is there a relatively new one which starts from the beginning or maybe a whole set which is self-contained in one novel. As I quite often look at graphic novels but never no where to start as batman's no mans land might be set before a death in the family but I don't know. |

| Guardians of the Galaxy looks crazy. Seriously crazy. Part of me worries that it'll be one franchise too many for Marvel movies, but that trailer makes me think they might pull it off. And Chris Pratt is so hot right now.
On Wednesday I saw The Wolf Of Wall Street.
DIGRESSION ALERT: I nearly typed that as 'Worf Of Wall Street'. Totally different film.
It was a bit too long, particularly on those seats, but it was really funny. And, y'know, sickening in places. |

| I have no problems with a black & white brother & sister but it seems to me there going to have to explain why in the film,
is he adopted or is there mum a slut etc, who knows but something the film surely doesn't need. |

| The Lego Movie. Hyped up beyond all expectation, there was no way it was going to be as good as people as said. My cap for the number of inspirational speeches that aren't subverted in some way in a great film is one. TLM has about four. It's a good film, though. What's impressive is how likeable all the characters are (apart from Green Lantern, natch). I laughed several times. My favourites are 1980s Spaceman and Princess Unikitty, but what really surprised me was how good Emmett was, despite being a stereotypical blank-slate average Joe (intentionally). Recommended, but don't go in thinking your world is going to be changed. I also watched Thor 2 for the first time last night, which I expected little from. I was pleasantly surprised. Basically, more Loki translates to a better film. The villain was rubbish though. Also, how cute was that last post-credits scene? |

| I've always got a lot of time for the King of Monsters, but this looks especially good. Better than last time America tried to make a Godzilla film, anyway... |

| Hopefully Godzilla will punch above his weight. And buildings.
Last night I saw Seven Pounds, whose title I remember gawping at on the old NGamer forums of old. It made me cry, because I am a soppy sad old thing. :obviousemoticon: |

| Finally watched Gravity. Really regret not seeing it at the cinema but it was an intense ride anyway. Great to see a good film do well at the Oscars. |

I seen similar tweets after it won 7 Oscars, saying how did such a crap movie win anything. I'm yet to see it myself but what I hear it's more a about the cinematography (which it won) and things like that. |

| It is, essentially. It's beautifully shot at all times. The story is light as a feather but that's not always a bad thing (I present all proper Mario platformers ever in my defense, m'lud). |

| I saw The LEGO Movie just over a week ago, and I absolutely, positively loved it. The sense of humour reminded me of South Park mixed with Monty Python, for some reason. |
