| I've always been curious to know: who is Emily Rogers and what is her link to Nintendo? People seem to stand up and pay attention when she's got Nintendo news (newz?). It seems in this instance that she's just stating the obvious. Still a good thing, mind. |

| She writes for Nintendo Force and someone else but quite lot of her things like this seem to be fairly obvious but always a few days before they happen. She was going to be a special guest on the console vote but never got back to me in time. |

She's a journalist. Wrote some good articles for NotEnoughShaders and now Dromble. She's also helped several indie devs bring games to Nintendo platforms. She's very accurate with Nintendo firmware updates - she knew about the 3DS update that added the streetpass games and the Wii U update. |

| Miiverse is live on the 3DS, apparently. Anyone had a chance to try it out? I think I may draw lots and lots of Pokémon... |

Yeah, I fired it up earlier. It's pretty good - not much in the way of 3DS game communities, but everything works well. It's just Miiverse as you'd imagine it would be on 3DS, basically! |

| So it is, right down to the too-small avatar portrait.
I never realised that you could only post in communities for games you've played. Is that a new thing? And what will become of Funky Barn now?
Anyway, I've started my "draw ALL the new Pokémons" thing. Let's see how far I get... |

| Yeah, Emily Rogers does great work. Particularly the investigative journalism she does, it's all very well put together and quite insightful. As has already been mentioned, she seems to have insider knowledge (likely from ties with indie developers).
As for Miiverse, it turns out you can post 'non-player' posts on Miiverse, you need to select the right tab when first visiting a community. Though I'm disappointed Nintendo have hidden away non-player posts in this fashion, they really are what makes communities for the, er, lesser games. |

| Okay, question. Anyone had a chance to test just how stringent the Miiverse mods. are? As in, if I were (say) to draw an attractive woman (or "attractive" Pokémon) looking at a computer with an aghast face, with context pretty clear but not explicit (pun not intended), would it be taken down? |

I should imagine that Gardevoir will come along and have a go at Braixen for stealing its act. |

I've been thinking this as well. I was going to post up one of my Fire Emblem StreetPass hits because it was funny, but I didn't in fear it would be taken down. I think in general a user will have to report the content before it's found by a mod, probably moreso if it's for a less popular game with less board activity (so not in the case of Pokémon, then). |

| I had one taken down as I was simply venting that I needed another shiny stone and how I wasn't sure if I could get another in game. And that was the question more or less if there is a second somewhere or I'd have to take the one off of X and they claimed that I was after a friend.. |

Try wandering around with 'mon who have Pickup as an ability- one of mine got me a Moon Stone the other day, so it's possible Shiny Stones are available, too. |

| This was mentioned in the Direct, but I thought it was worth pointing it out.
If you register your NNID on the 3DS, or indeed, add your Wii U NNID to the 3DS before Feb 13, you'll get a free copy of Super Mario Bros DX. (The GBA game.)
Not too shabby!

| The 3DS in japan at least is getting Radirgy a dreamcast game from 2005. There has been a few versions since the original release of the highly acclaimed SHUMP and one of these could be what comes to 3DS or even a version made just for the 3DS but it will be based of the dreamcast game in some form.
Long live the dreamcast. |

| I seem to remember Radirgy getting a kicking in NGC when it was on GameCube. Or am I thinking of another shmup from the same firm? |
