| And let that be an end to this sorry saga.
It won't be, of course. |

| @Jay but Celebrity's & Sport's people do though most of the time as you need them like Top Gear has just been killed now because of the sacking, so BBC need's Clarkson but now has opend it for Sky or someone to come and give him a show and that's that. |

If Clarkson has hit the guy, then you are implying that he should be allowed to do that. The line needs to be drawn somewhere or an appalling precedent is set and presenters will be lamping production staff that they don't get on with. That's not on. |

| It is wrong but remembered how Christian Bale went nuts on the set of Batman or like I said Balotelli threw a dart at a another player which hit the player but both got away with it.
But you needed Bale to Batman and City need Balotelli to get that assist to win the premier league.
I would of just got him to pay damages or something and huge fine going to charity. |

| For all we know that is what's happening. In all those examples commercial value has won out over moral values and it makes me sad. At least Bale was not invited back to be John Connor again... |

Celebrities should be held to the same standards as we are. I think it's abhorrent to suggest that a TV program is worth more than dignity and human decency. Clarkson socked the guy, so he's gone. That's it. |

| In defence of Christian Bale: he never hit anyone, just got angry and shouted. Also, he is very clearly suffering from some steroid induced problems thanks to repeated weight loss and gain for various films.
And this probably doesn't need saying but just because something goes on doesn't mean it's okay. |

| There's a difference between "what should happen" and "what one might expect, cynically, to happen in a capitalist world". On this occasion, as a rarity, the former is happening. |

That argument doesn't fly with me - it's only encouraging the problem at hand, not solving it. |

| Whilst it is sad for the fans, Clarkson will resurface on another channel, I'm sure. Perhaps the new programme he will undoubtedly make should be called 'Bop Gear'? |

| I think he pitched "Happy Producer Punching Fun Fun Hour" to Sky, but they rejected it. Channel 5 has expressed interest. |

| Horrendous joke incoming: What's the difference between a 36-year-old's face and an underage child? - Spoiler:
The BBC will sack you for putting your fist in a 36-year-old's face.

| Money can easily change someone's personality, they think they got the power to do what they want and how they want but in reality they don't. Now he looks like a complete idiot towards other people and doing stupid things can make you loss your job. I knew it would have happened to him of being fired for this. I thought top gear was very funny and entertainment for the hole family to enjoy, it's a complete shame to see it go but he deserves it. Lets share our favourite top gear episode on here by showing a link, enjoy~! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zgRXi2svWPU |
