| The main beef I had with SSE was that it was poor. It served as a good way to unlock characters and the story was sort of OK but the gameplay itself was abysmal. As an excuse for not developing a follow-up/alternative, well... silly with a side of bizarre. |

| What concerns me the most is that the 3DS version was specified to be getting a single player mode. If this results in the 3DS getting most of the single player content with the Wii U version getting almost nothing I think I'll just tell Nintendo to shove off and spend my money on something else.
Honestly I've never been keen on having a 3DS version as I see it as a waste of resources of the Wii U version, and if they intentionally gimp the version that will be the most fun to play to try to get people to buy the less fun version (not to mention I doubt the 3DS stick would like the amount of smashing it gets from the game) I'll avoid both versions. |

| You don't really need a single player thing do you? As long as you can have the 4 players and a decent stage to fight on it's all good. And didn't people go on about the sub space mode saying how it wasn't that great or something? |

| I'd consider signing the pettition but alas I don't have a twitter account, so no signing for me. - shanks wrote:

And didn't people go on about the sub space mode saying how it wasn't that great or something? Score attacking in Melee's Adventure and All Star modes was absolutely awesome. One of the things that makes Smash so great is because it doesn't simply take the " I'm a fighter and therefore need absolutely nothing for single player content" approach and actually has content. And awesome content at that, dome really fun modes and an absolute load of things to collect. Smash without Classic, All Star, Multi-Man, Event Match, and Targets isn't smash to me. |

| You don't need twitter to sign it, just to share it.
I agree I spend at least as much time playing single player smash as I do multiplayer. It's so fun to just pick up and play. |

| Don't forget Boss Battles!
That said, most of my Smash playtime comes from me-vs.-CPU matches. I'll be buying this for them, no matter what bonus modes are included.
But I'm still hoping for an SSE-like campaign. For all that it got criticised, the idea had some merits: sadly, the main one (the cut-scenes) has been confirmed absent, but I'd still like some epic boss battles. If they also worked more with classic foes than variable new designs, and tightened up the levels to work to individual characters' strengths (and took the Kirby level design team off the case), it could be great!
Probably won't be though. |

| I'll admit I'm glad it's gone myself. I agree it had its merits, however I feel the mode was just far too bloated and unrefined. The Adventure mode in Melee was more akin to what I would want to see from such a mode, but with the better aspects of SSE included like bosses. Perhaps an adventure mode that has unique areas for each series could work in bringing back the best elements of the subspace emissary while eliminating the bad. |

| So the petition is signed. However, a thought struck me - if you're going to have Reggie, surely you also need Satoru Iwata and Shigeru Miyamoto, too. |

| He'd better be. Most threatening villain in all Nintendo, maybe, reduced to a simple -throwing clone. At least give him some sword moves! |

| Ugh, that was most upsetting when they even had his sword modelled in Brawl, but only for a taunt. I did enjoy Ganon making an appearance, I'm assuming we'll see that again. |

| It would potentially make more sense to have Mr Yamauchi or someone than a currently serving executive. |

| Minor update, because there's not much else going on in Wii U news at the moment (and because I want to): looks like there will be a Pilotwings stage in the Wii U version, but it's featuring Wuhu Bleddy Island too. So... it's a Pilotwings Resort course? But I thought stages based on handheld games were kept to the handheld version? Whoops: almost forgot the mega-exciting other piece of news... - Honestly, you may want to leave this spoilered until launch...:
Luigi's in.

| He seems to have the same taunts, and the same annoying dash attack (annoying for the person using it, that is). One thing that does worry me is that so far, apart from Bowser, most of the returning characters don't seem to have changed much. You'd at least hope that Link would have gained some more weaponry. Anyway, today's screenshot is most notable for Sakurai making a Meteos reference. Don't toy with me like this, Sakurai! But with a new item being so pretty, it makes me wonder whether we'll see different items as well as courses (and modes, presumably) between the two games. I'm not sure the 3DS would do those flame effects justice. |

| Its changed quite a lot over the years tbh & if that Link is based on Skyward sword then the hair colour is correct.
Is it me or have visuals got even better? |
