| Yeah that's true
More news from the Iwata 4Gamers interview, he talks about the next system and that there is features on the Wii U that are missing that they would like to imperilment on the next system.
He talks about how he would of liked sleep on GBA SP and that feature came to DS, so think on the lines of that.
But would you want? |

| Is there a "what" missing there, Mas? I don't know what I want from Nintendo. They probably know what I want better than I do. Ideally, more power while retaining the innovation the Wii and Wii U have shown, while (unlike the Wii U) actually knowing what they're going to do with said innovation before releasing it. |

| Power is always good but not really a feature,
Personally it's more of the social internet side like chat, invites etc |

| So in recent interview with SMOSH (I think that's the name), Miyamoto was asked about F-Zero with his replay being we would need the right controller for that. |

| The nice thing about F-Zero (or one of them) is that it works perfectly fine with a traditional controller, much like Smash. Don't know where he's going with this. |

| Has any F-Zero game ever needed a new controller? The last game was on the GameCube, and you can now connect your GC pads to the Wii U... Maybe it's a hint that a new F-Zero game is coming out, alongside a new controller. No, straws, let me clutch at you! |

| It may not seem it with all the great exclusives on the horizon but this is looking like one of the weakest spells for the Wii U, 3rd party releases are very few and far between and many of Nintendo's big hitters have come and gone, god bless Amiibo for papering over the cracks. |

| The American release schedule has been updated from Nintendo
Wii U
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse – 2/20 Mario vs Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars – 3/5 Mario Party 10 – 3/20 Splatoon – May Project Giant Robot – 1st Half 2015 Yoshi’s Wooly World – 1st Half 2015 Mario Maker – 2015 Project Guard – 2015 Star Fox – 2015 Xenoblade Chronicles X – 2015 The Legend of Zelda – 2015 Devil’s Third – 2015 Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem – TBD
And that's meant to be the order they come out, so I'm going Sep Star Fox, Oct Xenoblade X and Nov Zelda also interested to find out more info on the two projects.
Looks a decent line up of Nintendo published games, can't really say the same about the 3DS though. |

It seems Rodea The Sky Soldier will be coming west for the Wii U and 3DS, not sure if we will get the Wii version bundled in like Japan with the Wii U version but hey can't complain.

But would you want? Been looking for this for ages! I wanted to say that I hope Iwata is referring to the ability to upload video clips to Miiverse. I'm also hoping that Nintendo move to an architecture that is more like their rivals - purely so that porting is easier to do. The Wii U2 (still hasn't found what it's looking for) will need to get third parties back on board. |

| But let's say it come outs November 2017 (5 years life-cycle for Wii U) the Wii U2 and is let's says slightly more powerful then a PS4 but PCish based so can port over COD15 (I think it be 15).
Will it be considered odd tech again as PS4 will be 4 years old and could be replaced it self in 2018 and be vastly more powerful then the U2 that 3rd parties don't bother at porting the game.
I feel this issue a for Nintedo they might always be playing catch up in tech terms, I think they need a new wiimote something that make the U2 different & something you can't get else where like VR that works and comes with every U2.
Or they do like I've said a while make a hybrid. |

I think the GamePad has proved that nobody cares about different with their home consoles these days, though. And after the (admittedly colossal) casual Wii rush, the same could be argued with that. Wii U2 needs Zero's aforementioned power, an excellent controller, excellent online, and Nintendo's current love of indies plus major third party devs. |

I still think power silly unless stupidly powerful. |

| A hybrid might be a good idea, though it would have to be very carefully made.
Also, are we not reaching a power plateau? I don't know enough about other formats, so someone will have to explain to me what the benefits of extra processing grunt will be for the next gen (PS5 and XBox Integer?). |

| I'm not a fan of mindlessly adding on more power and doing nothing else, but then, nor am I a fan of the hybrid approach - for, erm, basically power reasons. It just seems like needlessly sacrificial: we've seen what sacrificing power for portability can do with SSB4. I'd like to see something new as first priority; then something that will decrease loading times; then something that will allow for bigger worlds and more stuff on-disc (100-character Smash Bros. is the dream); and then more general power things, like prettier graphics or more realistic physics. But then, I don't really care about the cross-platform stuff, apart from insofar as it keeps Ninty afloat. |

| Well if New 3DS can run a Wii game like Xenoblade and a VITA run a PS3 game what could a hybrid do in 2017.
Also my mates PC has 16gb of ram which is twice as much as PS4ONE already. So stuff could need more power in a few years anyway that a U2 at 8gb could be awful. |

| For the past few consoles, it's clear that Nintendo isn't a company that pushes out the most powerful hardware. With The Other Two that are out just now, they've got a lot of power under their respective hoods. Despite this, the devs can't get their games to run at 1080p at 60fps. The raw figures are certainly there but it's not easy to tap into it.
It harks back to the days of the Nintendo 64 and GameCube in that very few devs could push the consoles to their limits. Of course Nintendo could, but for the 64 it was really only Rare and Factor 4 that could do it, and for the GC, Factor 5 again showed what the hardware could do, but only because they actually bothered to delve into it. Hell, Rogue Leader was a launch title and it's still more impressive than the software that came later in the GC's lifespan.
Whilst some games most likely wouldn't be able to run that well no the Wii U like GTA V, it still pisses me off that R* didn't even take a punt on it, with the worse case scenario being that it looks worse than the PS3 version. Criterion did a corking job with Most Wanted U, a game that looks and plays so much better than on the PS3/360 and has been touted by many as the most visually appealing when compared to playing on PC at ultra settings.
So yes, more power on U2 would be great, but only if the developers know how to unlock the console to push it to its limits. |
