| Yeah it sold about 500k, and so did the PS4 it's a few 1000 in it. Wii U sold 90k all year, its tracking behind the GameCube and even the dreamcast did at the same point of there life.
Also China has lifted console ban, but they don't wont violent games. Which might mean good things for Nintendo as they have had the iQue over there and as the other systems seem to be more focused on shootybangbnag it might be a great market for Nintendo to go for. |

We used to play Civ, but after that session we finished in '45 we decided to give it a rest. As the great A Knight's Tale declares: The Pope may be French, but Jesus is English. |

| So am I right in thinking Nintendo wants to sell 2.8milion WiiU's a year and 13.5 million 3DS's. I know they dropped both but seems like there putting all there eggs in to one basket in the 3DS. And 2.8 that it if the cycle is 5 years that's 16.5 million in it's lifetime. That's if it last 5 years and does those numbers but seems dreadful compared to even the Saturn (3.2m a year) |

| BUY THE NEW POKEMON QUARTZ NOW! Available on iOS and Android! Not happy with your selection of starters? Don't worry! Buy some Pokecredits and have the option to begin the game with Mewtwo, Rayquaza or any legendary of your choice! Squash your rivals with stat augmentation, available for the low price of £4.99 per stat increase! Remember to play the daily Pokeblock Crush minigame for extra Pokecredits, but don't forget to ask your Facebook friends for help unlocking the minigame! And look out for Super Mario Mobile Mania: Episode One launching for £9.99, featuring 10 fully fleshed out levels and the option to unlock Luigi for an extra £3.99! The plumbers have never looked better now that they're on mobile devices! naturally I can't imagine it getting that bad, but the prospect of Nintendo on mobile devices doesn't excite me really. Still, if it keeps them alive... |

| My worry is that attention will be taken away from the consoles and put into mobile games. And don't get me wrong, the Phoenix Wright games were okay on a mobile, but the visual novel genre aside, I like having buttons and 3D and multiple screens and styli and the grunt of a home console.
A Kirby on iOS is not going to be as good as a Kirby on Nintendo's platforms, however they spin it. |

| ^This.
A lot is made of the new types of games that are possible with mobiles, but nobody ever seems to mention that for every possibility it opens, it closes another one- and what makes Nintendo's games great are the possibilities which are closed in mobile. |

| Still say no to smartphones and focus on the 3DS where it's bad but not as bad as the Wii U. People actually own a 3DS |

| As I said on twitter earlier today I wouldn't mind if Nintendo supported mobile devices, everyone's obvious worry is seeing mobile versions of existing IP but I don't really think that's a route Nintendo would take. (Unless its companion apps)
It could however be the perfect place to introduce new IP which in turn could attract some folk towards Nintendo consoles.

| Maybe Nintendo could release games in a similar vein to the Wrights and Ghost Trick on iOS? And have a downloadable version on the eShop (crucially, for the same price - haha, yeah right ) so that their 3DS customers don't miss out? That's the only way I can see this benefiting us Nintendo loyalists. |

The thing is, both those games are special in that they'd been subsidised by full-price DS releases (and in Phoenix' cases (ahaha) being third-generation remakes) and probably wouldn't be viable at iOS prices. There's a reason that phone games are dominated by < £1 toys and free-to-play grindathons, and that's because that's all people will pay on those platforms. |

| Nintendo will find a way. Frankly I'm astonished that last year can possibly be deemed a bad year for 3DS, I just think Nintendo's forecasts were too high. I can't make any excuses for Wii U, though. The state of that particular situation is beginning to natter me. |

| Agree think Nintendo predict to many for the 3DS as it was the number 1 system in 2013 sales wise pretty much every where.
Still think if Nintendo go smartphone release gameboy games etc so doesn't affect sales of wiiu or 3ds as why would buy either of them if you can play the same game on your smartphone. |

| I think the worry of Nintendo games on mobile is overstated. Nintendo's mobile offerings will be all about driving people back to Nintendo devices, as Reggie said back in December.
