| I'm not watching that. Saw the title - not going any further. Cube, I thought the lady in your picture in the Say Cheese thread was your girlfriend! No? |

| You should watch it Ball! The regular features chaps are pretty funny and so was that video. Also is that a joke Balla? Or has your pop/nerd culture knowledge let you down again pretty sure it was Summer Glau. |

| Like all Joss Whedons stuff, they have well written character bantz and a believable world but a plot that never goes anywhere.

| I wouldn't worry about not having seen them really. They're more Over-rated than Mas thinks TLoU is |

| I've had a weird couple of days but the implication seems to be that, as the popular opinion went, the ladies do indeed love a bit of buska |

| Welp, it's the day to look thoroughly miserable and avoid looking at Facebook as much as possible. All these happy couples. Sickening.[/imsolonely] |

You've beaten me to it, Balla. Valentine's Day always makes me feel like shit. Except for last year, when I got a Valentine's card and things got mega complicated. |

That's all well in good but if there's a actual girl you actually like then there shouldn't be other girls coming in to equation. |

| I used to have this running gag every year when Debbie and I were a tad bit younger, where I would get the major newspaper, and find a Valentine's message that sounded like I had placed it. Most years I would find a Brett and Debbie one, otherwise, I would find a generic one. Truthfully though, Debbie has zero interest in VD Day, named after all the venereal diseases spread on this day, and never has. I don't have to do a damn thing and she is perfectly happy with that. One of the great aspects of being married to Debbie is that she never wants to see Titanic or any other 'chick-flick' for that matter. She would always prefer to see a good sci-fi film. I am a very lucky man. |

Oh, I know, I quite agree. We had a really nice moment with a rose last week, then she went into too-awkward-to-message-me mode for the best part of a week. I'm at work with her just now so hopefully we'll have a chance to talk later. But a girl who I used to be really good friends with (and I dated for a month when I was 17) got in touch out of the blue after we hadn't talked for a couple of years. She seemed like she needed a friend and we chatted for quite a while and made arrangements to meet for coffee. Later that evening, the snapchats got flirtier and flirtier and she had less and less clothes in them, so I'm kind of doubting whether she wanted to get in touch for platonic reasons... And I know I shouldn't think that way, but it does feel nice to be liked by someone even if you're not really reciprocating. |

Lucky man! This love malarkey is a tough old thing though. Do any of you get the impression that a woman is interested in you, and yet the next day she's blowing cold? |

I had that with a bloke once. He asked for my number and everything, and then next day he didn't want to know. Fortunately, later I learned he was one of those colossal pissheads who was so much so that he didn't appear drunk. Bullet dodgery right there! |

I think it's better to be single actually. A lot of the time I feel this way. But then, I'm very good friends with a couple who've been together for fifteen years now, and as happy as I am for them both - they're wonderful people - I do get an annoying twinge of envy in their presence from time to time. It doesn't usually last too long, though. |

| I'm definitely on the "better in a couple" side of the fence. Apart from anything else, being in love (or at least thinking I am) with someone is usually the only way I can stand a single person's presence for a continued length of time beyond about four hours. |

| I like being in a couple but it took me until the end of my last relationship to learn the difference between liking a person and liking the idea of being in a relationship. |

| Because I have been in a couple relationship for 38 years, in all honesty, I don't know how I would function otherwise. I seriously don't know anything else, as I was a kid when the relationship started. I look and listen at what others are going through and count my blessings that I don't have to deal with it. I would be dreadful at it if I had to date or live alone. In fact, if I had to live alone, I would probably die quicker, as like most men, I would ignore any health issues.
Still, having come from a broken home, I can honestly say that it is better to be single and unhappy than to be with someone and be unhappy. |

| What's that? Everyone's chomping at the bit for another update on Drunka's love life? Of course you are, and who am I to deny you your juicy details? So obviously there's a lassie at work and for a long time I thought there was something there. We definitely get along really well when we're at work or out with friends, but she seems very hesitant to meet me just the two of us. I've extended the invitation a few times now and I'm not gonna push any further. I don't think she's particularly keen, and if she is she'll let me know at her own pace. But it's not all bad news! As I mentioned before, a girl I dated for a month when I was 17 (my first love, I was embarrassingly obsessed, as teenage boys are wont to be, we broke up, we went on to be really good friends as we both dated other people) got in touch and we've been talking pretty constantly since. Shes said things like she still loves me, we're meeting up next week and she's snapchatting me pretty much nude photographs. Maybe she's confused and lonely and rushing to something familiar because it's comfortable or maybe there's a chance this is the real thing but either way, it'll be fun finding out |
