| A marathon of Bob Ross's The Joy of Painting, made more special by Twitch chat's commentary on each episode.
Strangely soothing and enthralling. |

| Guys, I feel I should be pointing out this website at this time of year - A Cartoon Christmas. Written by former Future US legend and host of LaserTime Chris Antista, it essentially, for 3 or 4 years, covered every animated Christmas special. It's well worth a read; especially the flimsy Super Mario Bros. Super Show entry. |

| I've just discovered CEO Kaz Hirai's Twitter account. Brilliant stuff: hate directed equally at all the industry. |

| A quality account - I've long been overdue following that one, as Kaz's tweets often pop up on my feed by way of retweets. |

| I'm going to out here as it's a web thing, EofGiz and his developer partner have just submitted there application fro funding to the government which includes a pitch video of there new game for VR. Gintendo gets a mention right at the start of the video on there facebook page.
I'm hoping to give the game a go at some-point and do what could be the very first let's play of the game and a scoop for Gintendo for a game that hopefully gets funding and comes to Rift & PSVR like planned.
Which at the moment anything for VR is big news. |

| I can see our man in Japan doing this. Not that he'd have to these days.
Where did 'absolute unit' originate from, does anyone know? It feels like a British phrase. I'm not sure it is. |

It's from The Museum of English Rural Life, originally popularised in a tweet earlier this year: https://twitter.com/TheMERL/status/983341970318938112?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E983341970318938112&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Finews.co.uk%2Fnews%2Fuk%2Fbig-sheep-absolute-unit-museum%2F |

| Ah, I remember that! Top tweet, and authentically British.
(It did go back a bit further, apparently, but I think the sheep popularised it and it's definitely a better unit than Mr. Suits here.) |

| In these times of widespread home-remaining, does anybody have any top sources of amusement they'd like to recommend (outside videogames, natch, and Netflix)? Bonus points if they're free.
Here are some webcomics I follow that you can binge thus far: http://www.dumbingofage.com/ - surprisingly moreish college drama with likeable characters, updates daily. http://www.sssscomic.com/ - post-apocalyptic adventures in Scandinavia, striking art style, updates four days a week. http://www.gunnerkrigg.com/ - magical scientific slice-of-life with robots and forest spirits and that, updates three days a week. http://h0lyhandgrenade.co.uk/mokepon/ - Pokémon adventure from the point of view of a rival character who just wants to watch Top Gear, updates Tuesdays. https://figmentforms.tumblr.com/tagged/a+tale+of+two+rulers/chrono - Zelda/Ganon romance comic, but well drawn and well-written. Get past the first few strips. Updates intermittently. |
