| I'm hoping me and Andy finally agree on something with our placing of a certain title,
As Mr.Jones just came out said some missing titles the two I was hinting at previously were Bravely Default & A Link Between World's.
I really want to know what this game Jas want's on a 3DS and thinks that we wouldn't get it, Monster Hunter Online maybe knowing Jas. |

| And now ACNL is the best game on the 3DS by a county mile. It's my fault everyone, I talked him into voting. |

| No problem Stu, glad we got your vote!
It's all pretty exciting and any last minute votes could totally change the top game in any category! |

| Right that's all the votes I've received logged. If there are any stragglers I'm aiming to post the first set of results around 8PM tomorrow so if you could fire off some votes (even if you don't have the time to do a write up) I'd really appreciate it.
The rest of you can look forwards to tomorrow when the results begin! |

| I fear I shall not be receiving any last minute votes, so without further ado: The Pixel Perfection Award for Best Virtual Console Game- Fifth:
The Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening DX Points: 13 First places 2 You say: "I have played this a lot and it really is my favourite Zelda game on VC." "Even in 2014 it’s just as good as it was in 1993, and it certainly looks the part. But the Link To The Past developers being told to make a spinoff made this all the sweeter, not only did it have quite the unique atmosphere as you explored a game world doomed from the beginning, but it was just so tightly designed, each section of game fitting together perfectly." "A classic Zelda game that plays lovely and has a spattering of bizarre Mario references. Brilliant." I say: A game that just missed my list due to finding myself regularly lost. I really enjoyed the dungeons when I found them though and the items were great.
- Fourth:
The Legend of Zelda Oracles of AgesPoints: 16 First places 2 You say: "This game is IMO even better than Seasons, and I can play it thanks to my 3DS." "I did pick these up on the game boy colour, but these were the days when I was a little kid who was crap at games and never finished them. I don't know how much nostalgia is involved, but these are really nice little Zeldas." "The slightly better of the two GBC Zeldas; at times it's Dark Souls-esque in its complexity. These games are massively underrated, and so much tidier than Link's Awakening." I say: I've not had a chance to play this but I think I may have to rectify that soon. (Apologies if the pic is from the wrong game.)
- Third:
Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3Points: 17 First places 2 You say: "Before it all went to hell, Yoshi had quite a good game to himself. Who doesn't remember the fights against Prince Froggy, or Raphael the Raven? Or climbing Mode 7-rendered rotating platforms? Then Artoon came along and ruined him. A big fat to them!" I say: I finally got a chance to play this with the Ambassador games but I didn't enjoy it. I don't like the way it handles, the graphical style or the level design much I'm afraid.
- Second:
Metroid FusionPoints: 21 First places 3 You say: "So tightly constructed! Tense and perfectly paced, I really, really love Fusion." "rectifying that I'd never played it before was the best moment of the Ambassador Programme. Tight and nerve-wracking." I say: I loved this game right up to what I assume was the final boss. The good sense of direction combined with just the right amount of exploration made this a must play.
- First:
The Legend of Zelda: The Minish CapPoints: 24 First places 1 You say: "This game is the one that makes me glad to be an Ambassador. Though now, I wouldn't care less if Nintendo made it available to everyone." "until ALBW, the finest handheld Zelda. Bright, brash and different." "An amazing game that would place higher if I ever got around to playing through it, I expect." "The two best 2D Zeldas are available on the same console. I still remember the joys of Kinstone fusing, even though I didn't pick this up afresh. Vaati made for a surprisingly epic adversary too, arguably not bettered on a handheld." I say: I played through most of this before the Ambassador games so it's been a while since I've played it. Whilst I might be shouting Fire Emblem was robbed this is a worthy winner.
Apologies for the lateness, I'll get on it earlier tomorrow! |

| The top two are not a surprise - love them both. There were plenty of great handheld Zelda games, weren't there? I still just about prefer the top-down Zeldas to the 3D ones. |

| Can't say that I agree with ZJ, but I'm pleased about the first place! I also voted for Yoshi's Island, and although I've played LA it missed out for pretty much the same reason as Andy - lostness. Mario's Picross was robbed! I... don't suppose we can get a rundown of also-rans, can we? I like rundowns of also-rans. Don't worry if it'd be too much effort, but I'd like to see what else people voted for and what they said. Also you omitted my emoticon! Fortunately I can abuse my powers to put it back in. |

| Two of my choices made it (Minish Cap and Fusion), but my #1 choice of Sonic the Hedgehog 3D didn't. I think it deserves it as Sega improved the game for the console, instead of just emulating it. |

| Apologies for the missed emoticon, I did mean to go back and put it in but I forgot after realising I hadn't counted how many number 1's each place got. I am planning on releasing the rest of the results but that is going to be on the penultimate day |

I've put Sonic on another list, though not as a first choice. It's definitely an improvement on the classic template and is still a great game, but it's not as big a progression as, say, the iOS and Android versions. All a bit familiar too me as well. Still, it says a lot that I think there are games on 3DS that are better. |

| Isn't the point of a VC vote that the game will be familiar as it's a retro title. So does it matter if Sonic has got improvements or not.
And just what Andy say's about Yoshi Island, you mad bro. I won't go that more into it due to the podcast going up soon which that game is brought up. |

| Yay! I love gnamer votes. It's funny, when I think of Zelda I always think of home consoles but they've had a real good run on handheld. I didn't think to vote for yoshi because for me that's a snes game and I didn't play metroid on 3DS because I already played it to death on gba. - Cube wrote:

Yeah but they didn't improve it enough to make it as good as a mario or Zelda game. |

| Most of my Zelda Collection is for handheld's it's surprising how many there are. So Mr Lilly I guess you went for handheld games , with the thinking of Yoshi as a SNES game even though it was the GBA version. and about Sonic. Cube voted for the wrong Sonic game in the number 1 spot. |

| Yeah, I just voted for games I'd played on handheld machines then replayed on 3DS vc. I didn't really spend as long thinking about this vote as I might have. - masofdas wrote:
and about Sonic. I agree, that mario enemy is superior to the whole Sonic franchise. |
