| Nonsense! It's quite reasonable to feel feelings for the south pole. Especially when you consider there are pros like me on team Polar Bear. |

| These things need an NGamer vote on them. Hence - a pole poll! (Maybe this should be a separate thread? It's a bit off-topic...) |

| Think I'll go north this time because Bears > Penguins & hopefully I'll get a chance to play in it as well. |

| I'd suggest this weekend but I assume the splatfest ruins that plan.
---
I love the new weapons they've added in this update, especially the slosher (All hail the ink throwing bucket!) which is my new favourite and I'm finding it to be a very good counter to people who use the roller not to mention it has to be one of the quickest at inking a wall you plan to travel up to get to higher ground.
I also love the changes they have made to the Urchin Underpass map, it just opens it up a lot more and focuses most of the action into the centre of map whereas before folk would hand on those side walkways way too much. |

| We might be able to do Sunday evening, assuming this weekend's Splatfest runs from 6pm on Saturday again. I'd be up for that.
Sadly I've been a victim of the connection issues a lot have mentioned. Barely managed to get in any turf war games, but I enjoyed the few Tower Control matches I played. Have they made the moving tower taller in the Moray Towers maps? The new stage layouts and tweaks certainly keep you on your toes, though I have to wonder whether they've rolled them out a bit *too* quickly -- I only just got used to Moray Towers as it was before, and now it's quite different. |

| How goes everyone's splatfestering? I didn't play in any of the other splatfests so this is completely fresh to me and I love the atmosphere they've created in the plaza. I'm currently ranked "defender" although I'm in the middle of a losing streak right now. GO POLAR BEARS! |

| I just got to defender myself and left it there for tonight as for wins & losses? It's probably 50/50 for me.

As for private games splatfest doesn't block you from doing them which is good so I'd be up for some games tomorrow if you's are. (time wise anything from 6 to 8pm should be good for me) |

| I'd love to join in with a weekend splat with you guys. I'm free next Saturday and Sunday evenings.
In splatfest news, the bears lost and now I'm sad. I can hardly bear the pain. It's like an icicle through my heart. There are probably other puns but I'll just end by congratulating the pengwinners. |

| As soon as I got home from my holiday, I had a few rounds of Splatoon while Batman installed. I'm a little rusty, but getting back into the swing. Having more levels to aim for will no doubt keep me splatooning hard again and I can't wait to get some team games and private lobbies in. |

| So I played a fair few squad battles with Buska, Muss & andy last night, I already loved playing Splatoon on my own but being able to team up with people you know and form tactics/warn each other of enemies over skype just takes this game into the stratosphere.
I wasn't so sure about the new Rainmaker mode at first but out of all the ranked battles types it probably takes the most team work to win a match. |

| I'll agree with Jas across the board there. Working with friends really helped, and rainmaker was a pretty tactical game mode once we got our heads around it. We were dominating for a while! After Andy left we did a few matched as a 3-man team and it was a totally different experience. To win 3-on-4 against proper teams, you need to be bloody good I think. We need to get more GNamer Splatoon going on for sure. |

| Something else that's pretty cool is that we did our best when we all had different weapons. What's generally a roller/aerospray fest in turf wars becomes a buffet of various primary and secondary choices in squad ranked.
I'll look forward to our next one and hopefully getting some private sessions going at some point. |

We did run those 4-man teams pretty damn close though. ---- I don't get the description for 2-man squads, does it mean just 2 vs 2 or is it 4 teams of 2? |

| Yeh, you and another team of two form a 4-man squad. It's like normal matchmaking, with duos treated like individuals. |
