| Ever the optomist that I am, I don't think trump will be that bad. Assuming the Obamas thought ahead and changed the locks before leaving the white house. To stay on topic, Euler. Not the maths associated with it, just the word and how everyone says it "oil-er". It's just stupid, nobody says oiphoric or oiclidian. Euler. You-ler. Euler. |

| I'm weird in that I say 'you-ler' but I also say 'oil-ear-ian' (for 'Eulerian'). |

No. That never happens. Ever. I got a bit caught up in the dismay yesterday, but this was adorable and needs more praise. |

Oh, you're right here. Anyone see Adam Curtis' HyperNormalisation? I didn't directly watch it as I knew it would be too depressing. But from what I (accidentally) caught, it basically points out that no-one needs to promote any political stance via facts and information. The last two big elections that we've had to "cover" indicate this. Democracy is supposed to work when everyone has the chance to be informed of a subject and therefore can suggest what they think would be best for society. However the "informed" bit doesn't even attempt to happen any more. |

| The Post Office needs to start advertising for Christmas staff for its sorting offices. My NES Mini pad was sent to our nearby sorting office. I've just spent twenty five minutes in the queue, during which time twenty people came in after me. Two of them left and a further four didn't even bother coming into the building. The best part is that it feels like it could have been packaged so that it could have got through the letterbox anyway. |

| Gumtree. People asking for things to be posted, or to be held for them, or etc. etc. I wish they had a stricter "commit to buy" system as I always get people showing interest and then never hearing from them again. If you show interest and then another person asks if the item is still available, I always get stuck with the "should I wait to hear back or just sell to this new person".
Think I'll just use eBay next time. |

| The Australian test cricket team. Far as I'm concerned if their name isn't Warner, Starc, Hazelwood, or Smith (and MAYBE Nevile) they should get the hell out of the side. Today marks a new low for Australian cricket, and anybody not named above should seriously hand their heads in shame for bringing such dishonour to the side. |

| Ants, bogan neighbours with loud music and revving cars five meters from the lounge room, paranoid agreement breaking landlords that stuff the water supply with so much water softener the water ceases to be capable of rinsing soap off hands and detergent off kitchen utensils. All I need is a Huntsman spider incursion and another stomach ache caused by aforementioned water softener to complete what has been the most pleasant relaxing and joy filled sunday ever!
And yeah, people that use phones in the movies are real beauts. Had one such gem of a human being right in front of me last year when I went to see The Force Awakens. Didn't talk thank god, but boy did his constantly whipping the phone out and using it right in front of my eyes get extremely annoying. |

| Locking oneself out of the flat. Getting home late last night, I found a Royal Mail 'tried to deliver' slip on my doormat. I rushed to my building set's concierge before it shut that evening... and left my keys inside. My parents have spare keys, fortunately, and they're only 20 minutes away by tube. At least I had my Oyster card on me! By the time I got back home it was really quite late, and I didn't have time to play the contents of the parcel that had been the cause of all the trouble. Also, in a vaguely related note, tequila. That stuff is filth. I'm told that good tequila isn't filth, but all tequila I've ever tried has been. |

| It's a hangover in a bottle/glass. If I want to get (and I never do, I want to drink because the drink is nice and getting drunk is an irritating side-effect), there are many more pleasurable ways to do it. |

| Tequila is one of those drinks that barely qualifies as a drink. You're either getting drunk on purpose, or you've had a rough day and need to feel that 'burn'. I went through a phase of liking absinthe (and other liquorice-like spirits) but that was more for the fact I was putting 70% alcohol in to my body. Nowadays I can't go near the likes of Sambuca as the smell alone brings back those vomit-inducing student nights out at Uni. I guess it's the same reason you go for the Vindaloo or other hot foods that aren't exactly enjoyable to eat. Nobody sits down to watch Eastenders with their favourite glass of tequila, but if it's the start of a wild night out, sure, get the lemons in!
I'm pissed off with PC gaming. I have a laptop that is fairly capable - it runs the likes of Fallout: New Vegas, Tomb Raider (2013) and Portal 2 - last-gen stuff essentially. However, it fails to run HOTD: Overkill and Euro Truck Simulator 2. They both crash or in the case of ETS2, runs in a mode so zoomed in you can see the pixels, meaning I need to do some research and code-tweaking. I just wish PC gaming was as simple and reliable as console gaming.

Xbox want to that though but in a easier fashion. gJones you hit the nail on the head on why I who own all the consoles use consoles as their simple and reliable and I know (well maybe not in the future) when I buy a game at launch and the very last game to come out on console it will work. I've had PC master race people telling what I've spent on consoles, I could have an amazing rig but I just don't wan to upgrade and mess with drivers and all that stuff. I would also lose the exclusives and playing with friends as that's been the best bit about Overwatch. |

| GAME
I preordered Final Fantasy XV Deluxe Edition after the launch event which was months ago, on GAMEs site due to it being a GAME exclusive and coming with bonus stuff like the King Tale game.
FFXV is out tomorrow and I've had a email saying they've taken funds but nothing else, its out tomorrow. I rang my local store who will have some in stock and they are putting me back a copy, the guy I spoke to gave me a load of bull saying it won't get dispatched to tomorrow as games were getting dispatched and turning up early and breaking street dates, due to this they now send on the day.
That is the dumbest thing I've heard as the whole point of preordering is that you get on day of release, anyway they are putting a copy back for me.
I went to cancel my order online but to due to GAME taking the funds I can't cancel, I contacted Customer Services who have told me why the game hasn't been sent out is due to a delivery cock up and people like me can't cancel either as the system things it's on its way.
I've got no idea when it will come and now my local GAME are putting me back a copy, I want to go it, so I'm going to end up with two copies yay.
I can send the one back when it comes or even take back to store as it be sealed but bit of a pain. |

| There's a whole month to go yet. 2017 might not be all that much better: it's the start of Trump's presidency, and Article 50 will be invoked. |

Been saying this a lot. Most of the problems with 2016 have been the threat of 2017 . . . At least lots of people are looking up fascism and not some polite term the media have been dishonestly using instead... |
