| Cheese. Japes aside, hope you get freed from its icy grip soon Jayseph. Snow's great for about two hours, I find - then the ramifications sink in. |

| No end in sight for now, although the Met Office have downgraded the weather warning from Red to Amber. I mean, there's still a good foot or so of snow on the ground but y'know... |

| Yeah I didn't have fun when I was out in it for half an hour or so today, I had to walk on the road too as the pavements weren't clear enough. |

How did you know you did have enough Iron as the 3 blood tests I had the only thing they could find was the low Iron (which was the most recent time) which I was taking tablets for and have to admit I wasn't as tired I'd normally be and my Nan was like that's the lack of iron why you're tired then.
The other thing is I've been off work yesterday and today as you can guess not too happy as I'm off again but I think I may get to see works occupational health which might be a blessing as they might come up with something. I knew about the my Iron because that was one of the first things they tested for. The problem was that when all the things they first tested me for came back negative, they didn't go "right, is X still happening? We could also test you for these other things." Instead when everything came back negative, I was obliged to make more appointments to get things sorted - but not having any money or a car at the time, that wasn't really practical as the GP wasn't within walking distance and I stupidly just decided to trust what the GP told me. The thing is that I complained about never having energy, and the GP thought it was iron because I looked pale. But I also talked about bowel problems in the same appointment, and to that, rather than performing a simple blood test that would've flagged I had Chrons' disease, she told me to eat more fibre. So instead of testing for everything, she tested on her initial hunch and then when that was fine - but I still wasn't - things were made to seem that they weren't serious and I just needed lifestyle changes. So I spent the next few years feeling like shit, packing fibre into my body - which, ironically, made everything way worse due to the specific area my disease was active. So yeah, my advice is to be assertive and try to make sure they are testing for everything they possibly can when you have the chance. Maybe I was unlucky and she was a shit doctor, and lord knows she let me down. But I think part of the problem is that you only get to talk about one "problem" per appointment, and in my case I was pale because I wasn't digesting enough food, and I wasn't digesting anything because my intestines were fucked, and that made me tired, nauseous, and depressed. But my Doctor only got half the story, and decided to go after one symptom rather than waiting around to find the disease. None of that's to say that whatever you're going through isn't being handled properly by your doctors, but from my experience I would recommend making sure they're being as diligent as possible. |

| Today I discovered the difference between ‘being well enough to sit at home and do nothing’ and ‘being well enough to do a full day of work’. There are subtle differences between the two that only further study will be able to confirm. In the meantime, my wife is flu’d up like a good’un. |

| Well, I got my results back from my blood test and like 3 out 4 times, they found nothing wrong with me. I have booked to see my Dr, who I didn't see a few weeks ago as she was on holiday and much like Muss, I may have to get more tests or something.
As this, as you, most know has been going on for ages now.

| Have you been told what they’ve ruled out with these tests? Then you can take charge the next time you speak to a doctor: “We know it’s not a, b and c: let’s start looking at other things.” |

| No, not really, spoke to whoever and they were like we found nothing wrong with you, see ya. With me going well can I still see my Dr as I was ill a few weeks ago and you've told me squat, with an hmm okay.
I guess testing for everything or close to it, well they did back when I went to the hospital with them also saying nothing wrong and that was the time I was in super duper pain.
I'm thinking next time it happens if Dr isn't fruitful this week, I'll go hospital again right away as not sure what else I can do.

| Occupational health at work was useless, she said she had some nurse thing and I told her all my symptoms with her coming up with take a paracetamol and go to the pharmacy for some proper migraine stuff, then I should feel right as rain.
Nearly got into a massive argument with her, as this minor and I shouldn't be going to Drs for such things and why we have trained pharmacists to help.
I don't think being unable to my use left arm and bedridden is a minor thing and even if paracetamol and migraine stuff worked, surely the question is still why is happening. |

| Jesus, Mas. Was that encounter at work? It sounds like all they cared about was getting you back working again, not about actually making sure you were getting help. Duty of care and whatnot... |

| Yeah, it was but the woman is from an outside company, not actual work. I have to see the manager that referred me to her on Friday, not sure what to say but wasn't happy at all about it.

| It sounds like she wasn't taking your situation seriously, so I'd definitely raise that with the company as a whole as that's very much disrespectful. |

| I've never done anything else since I was like 13 (if you count markets and uncles shops) and don't have any qualifications part from my A in maths gcse and a IT based thing, that I don't really know what else I can do.
I just don't get how people can be that dumb though with things like the milk situation. |

| Really, I always thought something like that would be minimum wage? And not sure that's for me that line of work anyway as I can't see the career aspects and I know retail, not the best but can go, colleague, section leader, manager and so on
I do have some news from the doctors front and even though I was told a few days ago from the blood test nothing was wrong, well today my actual doctor has said my iron levels are still low and I'm back on tablets.
Hopefully, it is that and it's not something like what Muss was told. |

On paper it looks that way, but the tips factor is huge, in a half-decent joint it can basically double your wage. - Quote :

Obviously that's fair enough, each to their own and the hours etc definitely aren't for everyone - Quote :

However, if this is your whole issue, the ladder is more or less the same, so I'd say it's worth a look, especially if you're finding yourself hating retail as much as I was. I wish I'd jumped ships so much earlier. That all being said, your health is obviously top priority. I wouldn't add any other stress until you're back on your feet. I'll chuck a few yen into some health shrines for you. |

| Health update, nothing bad but most of the chat has been in here about it.
Saw a physio today and seems my arm is fine, but my neck is not best and got some exercises to do but overall after talking to her, much like the woman that saw me through work that it's a migraine related thing maybe.
Also, my posture is horrendous which I reckon is down to my god-awful chair (like a school chair but soft) which was just a stop gap as my old sort of proper sofa chair had haded it and that was years ago. I've just ordered a £200 gaming chair (I got it for £102 in a SALE) which goes on about back support etc for the eSport gamer.
I was tempted by a proper sort of chair but damn expensive and take up most of my room, I've sat in EofGiz's office gaming chair enough times to know it's comfy enough.
