I just wanted to say that this has been a really horribly hard week for me, for work-related reasons that I'm not going to go into.  It was, among other things, the thought of coming onto this place and chatting absolute nonsense in the downtime, with a bunch of similarly minded people, that kept me sane.  And this is not the first time that this has happened. I consider you my friends, some of my closest friends that I talk to more often than any others, and it is an absolute pleasure to count myself among you.

So there we go, and thanks gents.

I like that the forumite of the year was so close - a nice sentiment. I'll happily accept joint-third. Well done to everybody else considered, third second, first and commended.

I'm wanting to step forward for another votes thread, as it seems that the interest is back again. I'll give it a few weeks, and hope that nobody uses the idea for any old thread in the meantime. I've been wanting to do this one since NGamer, as I think there's a lot of mileage in it.

Aye good job balladeer, if there is a good reason for another vote then I'll no doubt join in but I just hope we don't go too crazy with them.

I don't think there's anything wrong with a vote every two months/quarter, but then I probably enjoy them more than some.

Like I said it depends on what they happen to be about, I just feel they could be made to feel less important if we have them too often that's all.

I never said Sonic was a good franchise it just has some good games.

Yeah one every sort of quarter sounds good, I do hope we revisit the Wii U for it's 3rd Birthday like with the 3DS.
