Right. I've had a nap, I'm about to have a shower, then I'll do some more exploring! So far, I've found a 'Spoons, which looks alright as far as Wetherspoons go.

Alvinos Bar, The Cumberland Arms, The Bridge Tavern and the Tyne Bar are all alright for a pint. There's also a really good pub round the corner from Grey's Monument - wish I could remember it's name, but it was definitely quite big, with red paint on the outside. Loads of good craft beer.

There's a BrewDog near the train station, if you're in doubt. Give me a shout on Twitter if you're wanting any other recommendations.

Thanks to all those who made it, had an absolutely brilliant time, and I'm only sorry I couldn't stay for longer; both last night and this morning.

We didn't get to record anything, so here's an idea: each of us writes no more than 1k words on our Newcastle experiences for a Gintendo piece?  Would everyone be up for that?

Thousand word report? Jesus Christ, that's one way of sucking all of the fun out of it.

Yeah, it was a fab time and I loved meeting some lads for the first time! Hopefully next time I won't need to be in work and can get there a whole lot earlier. Some ace gaming, too - loved the Runbow and Pokken (protip: don't face Drunka if he's playing as Pikachu Libre ) and Smash was good fun. Shame the hotel TV was so tiny!

Just almost changed Jay's rank to 'The Main One'.

Honestly I just said 1k so that people don't feel the need to write an essay. Shorter (including haiku length) is fine.

I had a blast over the weekend, so thanks for making it a great couple of days, gents. That Mario Kart drinking game slayed me, but it made the following WarioWare Smooth Moves session all the better, I think. I wish we'd recorded something, but I think it would have slowed the night down too much if we sat down to record a cast - time better spent playing Smash, Runbow and ripping the shit out of the Super Mario Bros. movie.

I picked up Ghost Trick on Sunday from a CEX about twenty minutes away, which I felt was an appropriate pick considering how loved it is around here. Considering we had very few concrete plans for the meet-up, I'd say it was a grand success.

So... round two?

Round 2, yes please! Gutted to have missed this one, I ended up looking at the prices for trains on the day but it was £60 so still had to pass. Definitely up for next time.
