| Entering at #30 in the Rumble, it's your boy JayMoyles... and to say thanks for being patient, he's jumping off the top rope and delivering a vicious one-two combo of the results of TWO categories tonight. Feast your eyes on the results for the Avatar and Signature of the Year awards! The Robin from Fire Emblem Award for Avatar of the Year (12 votes, although some only gave one choice out of two)It's the faces that run the place - these little pictures are often what most folks remember you by when you're posting on the forum, so it's important to make sure you've got one that leaves a lasting impression. And clearly, some of them have! Let's take a look at the results. - Third Place:
=The Cappucino Kid ( two votes) – 3 points “I still don't know what that's from!” “I reckon Googling what game it's from would ruin the mystique, so I'll appreciate with a vote instead.” =Crumpy Andy ( two votes) – 3 points “Did you know if you stare at the jar long enough a sphinx appears?”
- Second Place:
JayMoyles ( three votes) – 4 points “There's only one thing better than Edgeworth, and that's animated Edgeworth.” “His are always animated, and that's nice to see.” “I feel like it was a monumental moment for the man to switch from 'Runnin' Neku' to Ol' Pointy Cravat Guy, and I'm recognising that. I'm recognising that in the face.”
- Grand Champion:
Drunkalilly ( eight votes) – 12 points “Drunkalily, courtesy of Muss's... thing.” “Because I recently found out that it bugs Muss. ” “Deftly drawn by a talented, Orbulon award winning, artist.” “Drunka's Charmander becomes a self-portrait. It's like minimalism never happened.” “Beautiful.” “Drunka’s fucked up Moomin-slash-albino turd.” “You better share your award (if you get one, natch) with Muss. He deserves commission on this one.”
- Your host chimes in!:
So, half the prize money will be sent to Muss on this one, right? Also thanks kindly for your votes for Edgeworth - I felt Neku had ran his course and it was time for him to say goodbye. Congrats to the Crumpster and Cappa, too.
Moving on! The Princess Peach Award for Signature of the Year (nine votes)Much like your avatar, a signature is an important part of your forum identity too. It's often the last thing people read when finishing reading your posts, so it's important to get that right. These fine folks have done just that. - Third Place:
=Muss ( one vote) “My main man Muss, whose picture of that Overwatch info tweet that popped up in my feed two or three times a day at one point is the kind of expert trolling that we need more/less of at GNamer [delete as appropriate]. “ =Balladeer – ( one vote) “Uh... Balla's current one. As it has links to the choons he wrote for people (which is nice).”
- Second Place:
The Jaster ( three votes) “We need more Drunkalilly blatherings in signatures.” "Moo Moo Meadows - what more do you need?"
- WINNER!:
The Cappucino Kid ( four votes) “I know it’s an old one now, but I still laugh every time I see the John Wayne is an Arsehole signature on Cappuccino Kid’s posts.” “Fuck John Wayne.” “No arguing with this one.” “Forever and always.”
- I say!:
A long deserved win for Cappa's signature, there. Also - an assist goes to Drunka for Jaster's second place, as two of his three votes were attributed to his quote.
Good stuff folks! More to come tomorrow night. |

| I had a sneaky feeling me and Muss would win the avatar one. Fully deserved, mind! Excellent artistry. It's my award. MINE! And I'm taking Jas' signature award when I add up all my second places I always win |

| Being sandwiched between Muss & Cappa is a good place to be or you could say that Moo Moo Meadows is the meat of signatures, thanks for the votes guys! EDIT: - Drunkalilly wrote:

Hey! Clearly the third person who voted for me didn't decide what's better, Moo Moo meadows or your drunken posts? Tbh that is a tough one.

| That Cappa's signature, brilliant though it is, won in 2016 when it was created in 2015, is a searing indictment of our signature quality this past year. Don't make me bring back the awful puns gents.
On the avatar, are we going to get a list of also-rans? I know I gave one point to an avatar not in those awards. Or was it just me? (If I'd had a third vote, mind, it would have gone to Cappa's. What a blinder that was.) |

| It's time to laugh, friends. The Jimmy P. Award for Funniest Forumite of the Year (12 votes)A shoe-in in recent years, but I think the forum as a whole has stepped it up with the funnies this year. Let's have a look at which of our funnymen you thought were dropping the humour-bombs this year. - Third Place:
Muss ( two votes) “Muss, purely for this attempt at a charmander. Stunningly beautiful.” “Just because I can’t vote for me. But nah, he has been funny when he’s turned up. Me and Muss can make eachother laugh like nobody, often to the total bewilderment of those around us.”
- Second Place:
Drunkalilly ( three votes) “I don't think anyone needs me to justify this do they?” “I've had LOLs from all over the place this year, in spite of the year itself. But, once again predictably, it's that Drunkalilly fella, both directly on the forum and sneaky linking to Gintendo - he's made life worth living.”
- King of Comedy:
Jimbob ( six votes) “Funny man with funny posts. Not written as frequently as others, but an on form Jimbob is top drawer.” “Still an effortlessly funny chap, responsible for my post and tagline of the year, and many other blinders too.” “A wit of the highest order, Jim's recent Admintendo appearance lifted the whole thing. He also continues to pepper the forums he goes into with gags, giggles and guffaws. Rock on, sir - rock on.” “It’s been a good year for the big man.” “Jimbob for me. The superb piece on Gintendo talking about his 14 favourite kitchens and how to re-create them stands out like a pink roll of lino.”
More to come tomorrow! |

| The King of Second Place continues his march to forum domination! Just call me Buzz Aldrin. After two years in a row, I couldn't possibly begrudge the mighty Jimbob, for whom I've voted on multiple occasions. He seems to effortlessly make the kind of jokes I'd have to spend days articulating over to come close to. Also, many of my drunken or blunt moments wouldn't have been half as funny without a dry Jimbob follow-up. We're a good bunch here, aren't we? Here's to many more lols in the future! Props to my boy Muss, as well. |

| Thoroughly deserving winner. Thanks to those who found me amusing, although I'm surprised the kid didn't make the top 3. I always find it tough to choose between him, Jim, and the gravy mishap man for this vote. |

| Yass! Meaning no disrespect to the twice-crowned king of humour, Drunkalilly, and indeed I don't think you could disrespect him after two stonking victories. But Jimbob's sense of humour has always been a bit more aligned with my own, and I'm chuffed to see him finally recognised with a gong/crown/little statue thing/whatever.
Again, though - who was the twelfth vote for? Inquiring minds demand to know! |

I'm not planning to reveal the many, many runners-up of the other categories, but seeing as there was only one for the funnymen award, I can exclusively reveal it was given to Cappa! And now... The Breath of the Wild Award for Tagline of the Year (11 votes, although some ballots were spoiled by either having duplicate votes or voting for taglines that don't exist)Taglines are probably one of the more memorable aspects of the forum, and it's another chance for us to flex our comedic muscles or deliver a message to the forum at large. Here are your favourites! - Third Place:
Although she walks slowly, Jaster is loathe to tell his friend Hannah to catch up. ( 2 votes) - 5 points
- Second Place:
=You've Been Castled ( two votes) – 6 points =It sounds like Kojima is playing everyone like a damn fiddle ( two votes) - 6 points
- Champion!:
Hey, Litten! ( three votes) – 8 points
- I say!:
If somebody could explain that Jaster tagline, that'd be much appreciated! The tagline award is a bit of a free for all, so I'm just glad we had a winner!

| Pssst... - Spoiler:
It implies that the lad's saying "'mon, Han", which he's stated a few times he doesn't like seeing used as a nickname for Monster Hunter.
Also, the winning tagger was so funny that I didn't laugh - I just had to marvel at how brilliant it was. |

| Right, so . . . he'd call her "Han" for short, and he'd say "Come on", or, in Scottish abbreviated parlance, "Mon Han!". |

| You know what, I'm just happy Athrun won something. Me, Mas, Drunka, Cappa, Bibbity Bob Bob - we've been voting for years, we'll probably always be voting, so long as we don't deluge Cappa in any given year with fifty 'vote for your favourite Fire Emblem character' threads. Really glad to see somebody who perhaps needs a bit more persuading to vote, coming away with an award. I voted for the Jimbob classic, mind. Sad to see we won't be getting to read the runners-up, enjoyed browsing those in previous years. |
