| Diddy Kong, King Boo and Nabbit.
I thought MK7 might have put an end to the baby characters, do we really need 3 versions of Mario?
The inclusion of Koopalings rules out Bowser Jr which is unfortunate because the Koopalings suck.

| They both showed up in NSMBWii, so there's precedent for 'em both appearing. |

Sorry for double post. Ribbon Road was awesome though!!!! Not just because of the shortcut though. |

| I have a horrific feeling that those two question marks are more baby characters, or Funky Kong, definitely Funky Kong.
My first was 64. Must say I'm loving the direction they're going with advertising this by bringing up past games in the series, hopefully this carries through to tv adverts, etc. |

Baby Funky Kong Serious question: what controllers does MK8 support? I suspect I might have to buy some pro controllers for this / Smash Bros.... |

| I think they'd want as many Mario Kart Wii owners to make as seamless an upgrade to Mario Kart 8 and the Wii U as possible. GameCube pads aside, I'd be very surprised if MK8 didn't use all the controller options/methods it's Wii prequel did. As long as I can use the old Classic Controller! |

The wheel was awesome. Wii U games need more GamePad innovation, because they don't sell normal Wii Remotes in the shops nowadays (that either are standalone or not too expensive). And the Wii U should be explored by Hackers at some point. Because I would love to see home brew/hacked games in future! |

Wii U Gamepad (natch), Wii remote, Wii remote and nunchuk, Wii Classic Controller and Wii U Pro Controller. * considers buying a Pro Controller* |

| The Wii U Pro Controller is a weird beast - it feels very small in my hands (though that might just be stepping down from the GamePad, at which point an iPad feels small in my hands). If it's possible, try before you buy... |

| I probably prefer the game pad to the pro controller although they're quite cheap now anyway so probably still worth getting one. |

| For £250 apparently. Seems a bit steep to me. What price is the Wii U on its own going for these days? |

The old Nintendo Land Premium is going for £199 at game.co.uk, while Amazon have that at 230 and the Mario and Luigi bundle at £240. I would say it's a bit steep, but prices have crept up recently once all the great deals on older stock cleared out, might be that expensive once MK8 is out and about. |

| I thought it'd fallen down to a Wii-like £180 on its own. Shows how much I know. |

| I didn't think the price was to bad as the RRP for the game is £45, so you could say it's £205 for the console but still think if they really want to sell systems £200 with this would shift it or that price when SMASH comes out for the fall.
If it was £180 ish new and was selling how it is they it will never sell ever. |

| I definitely did get as low as 180 (and even a tad lower) in a lot of places, but I think they were one-off deals and stock clearance, the RRP has only gently lowered towards £200. I'm just happy the £50-55 new-game RRP release habit they had a launch seems to have died out! |

Amazon has it for £220. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nintendo-Premium-Pack-Mario-Kart/dp/B00E4LGGY0/ Also, it comes with the game on disc, which means that it will keep its value more than a digital download.

| Yeah the new gen tax thing is silly, glad it's kinda dying on PS4ONE as well now.
That amazon deal seems great, for anyone who doesn't own a Wii U. |

| Mario Kart really needs to (and really should) sell the Wii U, if it doesn't I've no idea what Nintendo can do.
I really love them character Wiimotes, I want them all. |
