I quite like Hyrule Castle, though it does feel like it is a generic interpretation of the Zelda universe rather than a distinct one.
The course design is good, but I also like how the team has properly embraced the Zelda theming: I was expecting to cringe at it but instead I had this huge smile on my face.

I just can't see it being good after the last one. I'm sure Nintendo Life will award it 8/10 though
It seems any high profile Nintendo indie game gets a free pass from them these days :s

Whilst I've never been a diehard F-Zero fan, it just deserves to come back. If Nintendo are to show a commitment to the hardcore - as Mr. Miyamoto has said in recent interviews - new F-Zero would be a great place to start.

This. Perhaps Star Fox returning is a sign of what's to come, though that's probably more because of Miyamoto's GamePad experimentation: F-Zero's probably better suited to traditional controls.

What about a F-Zero on 3DS to fill what seems a bit of hole of titles announced on the system, maybe a 3DS version of the gamecube game for New 3DS.

F-Zero on the 3DS would strike me as the same situation as Smash Bros I think, fine enough but not quite the same on the small screen.

Anyone for some online gaming tonight? I was thinking we could start off with Super Smash Bros. Wii U at 8pm-ish tonight, then move onto Mario Kart 8 about an hour later. Hopefully we can get enough folk for a few groups of SSB and a big twelve-person session of MK8.

It's a 'no' from me, which is sad - I want to get back into it before DLC Pack II next month.

It's a yes from me, and what's more my new internet connection means I should have no drop-out.

Only now, 80 hours later, do I realise that the HUD shows you how much time you have left to use certain items like the Piranha Plant.

Took me a while to realise too, I'm usually too busy looking at the track to notice though.

So yesterday I played this with three other people, and for the first time I actually enjoyed myself.
Didn't think we'd get round to actually playing it, though. In anticipation of the gaming session I downloaded the DLC tracks, and having done so it froze my console twice when I tried to boot it up.

Jaster -- yeah, check the item icon when you're using it, there will be a ring that depletes around it. Thankfully it's on a case by case basis, so for items like the Starman, you'll still have to rely on hearing the tune to figure out how much power you've got left.

Oof, my Wii U has issues too on boot. Several times I've had to hold down power for five seconds because it doesn't do anything after I turn it on.

I only liked Baby Park originally because it had 5(?) laps. It was pretty boring when it was last remade.

Seven at the start. It was great in DD!! - giant Bowser shells, Chain Chomps, seven laps, ideal. Not been so good since.
