That's pretty cool actually. I'm tempted.
Edgar Wright went to the same school as me, and Hot Fuzz was filmed here in Wells. If I look out my window I can see the church from that film.

Saw This Is The End last night, where Seth Rogen and his buddies play themselves during the end of the world. Childish in places but mostly really funny. Recommended!

Urgh. Cannot stand Seth Rogen and his "frat pack" chums. I'll wait for the Simon Pegg version.

What, his brother has the same name?
(Don't know why I think he's always called Sean. :homer: )

A quick search for Sean Pegg actually comes up with Simon Pegg, with no helpful little "Did you mean Simon Pegg?" in sight. Odd.

Yes, weird how they both had that idea and released their films within weeks of each other! Maybe they've read the signs...

Just came back from seeing despicable me 2 which wasn't bad but wasn't overly great as well.
To me the best part was the minions doing / singing this
Which should only watch if don't care about the movie as has a spoiler:

I seen Pacific rim today and I loved every minute of it, it is the type of film you have to let your inner child loose on though.
...but still...loved it!

Saw The World's End tonight, which was really good - took a while to get going, but once it did it was rip roaring, etc etc. Though I'm not sure it's as good as Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz.
Managed to track down the first track used in the film, an old school dance track that samples The Magic Roundabout theme tune which I unashamedly love... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSP2NlT365c

Really really want to see that! But "not as good as Shaun of the Dead"? Shaun lost its way a bit, and the characters were absolutely unlikeable, so that's not encouraging for me.

I just got round to rewatching Shaun for the First time in ages and I'll have to agree, it had none of the fun or charm of hot fuzz. It had great lines and was very funny but I really didn't care about any of them dying.

What?! You didn't choke up a wee bit when they reveal Shaun's mum got bitten?

I'm fully expecting the Cornetto Trilogy to go The World's End < Shaun < Hot Fuzz. Hot Fuzz is just too damn funny to top, so if TWE tops SOTD then I'll be chuffed.

Agreed with that. Hot Fuzz is excellent in pretty much every way.

At SDCC Superman & Batman movie has been confirmed for 2015, is that going to the best year ever for films.

I'm apprehensive about a new Batman film. Nolan did his trilogy so well, it'll be a tough act to follow.

it's not a new batman film its a film with batman & superman in that's out in 2015. All we know is zack snyder is director, henry cavil is superman, christopher nolan is executive producer and christopher bale isn't batman.

But it's still a Batman film if Batman is in it I'm still not sold on Superman, really need to see Man of Steel though.

Hmmm, that does sound interesting I guess. I'm just not a huge fan of Snyder's work, beyond 300, nor am I particularly a big Superman fan. Should be fun seeing who gets cast as Batman!

I'm personally hoping Joseph Gordon-Leveit is Bats especially seeing how rises ended. I'm also hope this film sets up a JLA film or someone else's eg wonder woman. Reason I ask is 2015 best year for film's as avengers 2 and star wars 7 are also out then.

I hope they do the Supergirl story line as it would be a way to bring Kara in to the universe, along with Darkseid as the big bad

A friend of mine did peg JGL as the next Batman, should he be called upon again (though he did mention a Justice League film?). Either way, looking forward to it.
