| Just finished watching Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie. Gutted I didn't get to experience it first in the cinema, but sat right in front of my TV playing it through my Wii U was brilliant.
I'd been waiting for this film for so long, I developed an insane ammount of personal hype. Discovering the AVGN at just the right time and finding the series and James and the crew to match my tastes and sense of humour so well, I developed love and nostalgia for the Nerd similar to that which I felt for the classic Nintendo games themselves.
When I was down, I'd watch nerd episodes. During a nervous, fumbling first date with a girl I went on to see for several years, it was the AVGN theme accidentally coming on in the car when I shuffled my music that broke the ice. When I first left home, and had no furniture and no TV, I did have a laptop so I marathoned the whole series.
Then I heard James was working on a film. I followed it from a dream, to a crowdfunding excercise through every stage of development. Like so many fans, I shared in James' personal journey and this film became mythic in the meaning it held. So needless to say, it had a lot to live up to.
It delivered. Funny, exciting, bonkers, fresh, full of injokes and references snd nods to the fans. Every frame was full of love. This was clearly made by people who love what they're doing. Will it be for everyone? Probably not. Was it perfect for me? Hell yeah.

| Watched Don Jon mainly as it has Joseph Gordon-Levitt who I think is a great actor and Miss Johansson in it & who doesn't like her. I only knew a little about the film going in and it was alright. |

| Saw 8 Mile last night, featuring Eminem, Vicki Vale, Rex Mathison from Torchwood, General Zod, Sin City's Shellie and Falcon. Not that I'm a sci-fi/superhero geek, or anything. It was an oddly stitched together film but fun overall.

| Speaking of LEGO Movie I recently watched the original and was incredibly underwhelmed. If it wasn't for the interesting (if not predictable) ending section I thought it was average at best. If it wasn't for Chris Pratts voice I probably wouldn't have even smiled. |

I didn't think it was all that either, I must admit. A selection of good moments, and some good characters, tied together to make an unsatisfying whole. And Emmett was as dull as he was meant to be - that doesn't always make for a good film. As for the ending, far too sentimental for my liking. That said, there were some good characters, and Lego Batman was one of them. Still hyped for this! |

Yeah, I saw that. Personally I think even that's a little too early for a civil war story; the comic book marvel universe had been going for 60+ years when civil war happened and it impacted a wide variety of characters; Avengers, Spider-Man, the FF and so on. The Cinematic version only really has the avengers and nine of them even have any secret identity to speak of. Still, it'll have more emotional depth than a batman/ superman confrontation where neither character has even met before and this incarnation of bats hasn't even been introduced yet. |

| Well there doing the FF reboot and there's been rumours that Sony want to sell Spider-Man back to Marvel which could all help and of course we have miracles now as well. But what CW is going to be in Avengers 4 maybe, so quite a way off. |

| Yeah the FF reboot is kinda scaring Marvel so much so that they are axing the comic series again as they don't want any ties to the movie. (Which has finished filming by the way and yet nothing what so ever has been seen)
And Sony don't want to sell Spidey to Marvel they are willing to work with them so it'll be like Renting him to Marvel. Sony wouldn't give him up.. |

| Excellent use of that pinocchio song. On the one hand I wish it were a bit less moody looking. The only thing that saved the tedious first Avengers film was the banter between the superheroes. On the other hand, the idea that the reason Iron Man 3 ended with Tony having a ridiculous army of robots was because they already had a plan to use Ultron as the villain for a Avengers 2. |
