| No theme,
I know the woman that is hosting has chosen Top Gun and something else. And I know a other guy who's invited wanted to watch Jurassic Park & 300.
See I don't know to go for something a bit of a cult classic like The Warriors but I can think of so many good films such as The Fighter, The Wrester, Silver Lining Playbook, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dog's, Rocky, The Matrix, (500) Days of Summer, Looper, Scott Pilgrim, Serenity, Her, American Hustle, Natural Born Killers, Sin City
There's just to many good things but I don't want something to long like a Watchmen |

| I had to sit through the Harry Hill movie last week at a mate's house. It was awful, but thankfully it knew it was awful and that made it the tiniest bit more bearable. |

| So instead of buying 2 films I bought 8 for £5.25, so if we have another film night we've got plenty and I've not got to go out to buy anything.
But this is what I got Equilibrium, The Wrestler, The Matrix, Planet Terror, Underworld, Pitch Black, The Hurt Locker and Domino |

But this is what I got Equilibrium, The Wrestler, The Matrix, Planet Terror, Underworld, Pitch Black, The Hurt Locker and Domino Good films. Though haven't yet seen Hurt Locker or Domino. My order of choice from the ones I have seen would be: 1. The Matrix - watched the hell out of this back on release (my VHS of it was knackered due to how often I'd watch it) and will never tire of it. 2.The Wrestler - Amazing performance from Rourke (should have won the Oscar). 3. Equilibrium - Wasn't a fan when first released for some reason, totally changed on seeing it since 4. Planet Terror 5. Pitch Black 6. Underworld - can't quite remember this but recall enjoying it at the time. |

| Underworld is a vampire and werewolves films with Kate Beckinsale
Also Sony are letting Spider-Man back to Marvel but means another reboot I think in 2017 and some of the Phase 3 films have moved dates because of that and him going to appear in another Marvel film before his own.

| It's about time Spider-Man showed his ugly mug in the Marvel Cinematic Universe... such a big part of same. I feel sorry for Andrew Garfield, who is rumoured to be about to be booted, as he should have been given more of a shot (as if it was his fault that Amazing Spider-Man 2 was comparatively pants). |

| Just home from watching Big Hero 6. Fans of the comic may be appalled (er, according to my research ) but fans of solid Disney films will be delighted. Smart, funny and fun. It's also got Alan Tudyk in it, in common with several recent Disney films (his turn as King Candy in Wreck-It Ralph is brilliant). |

I don't even understand why. The Hitman series isn't that big at the moment, so you would think they would wait for the next game to help with advertising. The name won't bring in any sales (if anything, it will put them off it). Get rid of the barcode and change his name to "Agent Fred" and you have a brand new rubbish franchise. |

| Finally saw the new Ninja Turtles film today. Surprisingly, it was a good film. It won't be blowing anyone away or changing the world but it had funny, likeable character and decent martial arts action. Most surprising of all, it had genuine heart to it. The film had a running theme of family and fatherhood which it explored in a different way with each character. I got actually emotional in places, I laughed in places and I was pumped during the fight scenes. The effects were impressive in best possible way; for the most part, I didn't notice them. The turtles had a lot of physicality and were well enough animated and acted to feel alive. The action wasn't as over the top as the last couple of transformers films but it didn't need to be. In fact, one of my two real complaints would be that it felt as though it were chasing spectacle too much. It made the turtles much stronger than they've ever been before and Shredder was like Iron Man or a Transformer at times. This made them feel less like ninjas and more like superheroes. In places, the climactic new York battle looked interchangeable with any superhero blockbuster from the past 5 years which was a shame after the film introduced Shredder as a kung fu badass. Overall, compared to pretty much everything else that isn't put out by marvel these days, this was a film I would recommend to anyone. Fun, lighthearted, well made and suitable for all ages, it also didn't overstay it's welcome, which is a common issue recently.

Yep - the last Hitman film was crap enough. I've no idea why they're trying again. |

| You should put that up on the site drunka that's a good review of the film which I also watched yesterday and agree with a lot of what your saying. All I heard about it was it's crap, so wasn't expecting much but I did enjoy but I don't like this new mikey. |

| Interstellar
Only got round to watching this today, having downloaded it to my Sky box. It instantly became my favourite film of last year. Everything about it was perfect, in my book; the hard science fiction elements, the emotional beats drawn from those elements, the phenomenal effects, the affecting music... its a hard film to talk about because you don't want to give anything away but I think the best recommendation I can give it is this: as soon as it finished, I was thinking about watching it again.
It also has what are probably my favourite new robot characters of this decade. |

| Interstellar really is a superb film. I was afraid I was going to get lost due to how high-concept it was, but it's a really touching story at its core. Oh, and it also had my most hated fictional character of 2014 in it, so there's that (you know who I'm on about, if you've seen it.) On another note, here's Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor from the new Superman film. I'm going to have a lot of problems disassociating Mark Zuckerburg and the plethora of awkward 20-something men Eisenberg's played from this role. |

| Eh I like superhero films and I've read a lot of comicbooks in my day it this who's project seems like a mistake they should've done two more superman aims and a wonderland film, slowly dripping in other characters, before they tried the ja.
It might be legit bit I'm not hipedl |

| DC must feel that there isn't time to replicate the Marvel drip-feed of movies, so they're just cracking on. I agree with you that a slower build-up would be infinitely (crisisly?) better, so we'll just have to see how this pans out. |

| I'm sure it will be an enjoyable film, but DC are trying to rush to the finish a little. They shouldn't have dragged their heels for so long about making films in the first place! |
