We know who wears the trousers in your house. Both of them you sexist pig. To be fair, Jo is wearing jeans at the moment... |

| Recent Netflix viewings:
Warrior - Awesome and quite emotional. Brilliant performance by Tom Hardy
Blue Ruin - Great film, loved the atmosphere, style and general feel to it. |

The cinematography is superb & it must have been a real shock in 79 to have movie with no real hero. |

| Yesterday Jo and I saw Placid Min: Calmness... Calmness... dagnabbit, what is the opposite of 'road'? Mad Max: Fury Road. Having seen bits and pieces of the first three earlier in the day - thanks, Sky! - I felt it was much improved on its predecessors, though still very much style over substance. A pleasure to see Tom Hardy spend a good portion of a film with a mask covering his lower face, too. |

I watched Noah on Sky a few nights back and found it quite enjoyable. |

| Just saw Tommorowland and it was pretty good, fun happy little feel good film.
I'm looking forward to seeing Mad Max after hearing so much praise for it on Chat Very Good. Problem is Cineworld seem to only want to show it at 6.20 or 8.20, aka too early or too late... Maybe next weeks times will be better... |

| Is 8.20 past your bed time On MM:FR , I hear that Max isn't the main character but Furiosa is which might explain why he doesn't talk much. Also when it comes to get a release on Blu Ray, it will have a Black & White Silent Version on which according to Millar is the best version of the film. Anyway I watched Big Hero 6 last night after Game of Thrones, what a awesome film it is. |

Their screen time is about the same to be honest but I can see how some people might think Furiosa is the main character as a good chunk of the plot revolves around her story (how she got to where she is and where she is going next) and Max just ends up being along for the ride. (You kind of already know Max's story anyway so there's no need to delve into what motivates him) Also there's not a lot of dialogue in the whole film, even the original is like this and it's pretty much George Miller's style as he's an actions speak louder than words director. |

| San Andreas is very cheesy. Interestingly, there were some bodybuilder guys in the theatre with us, one of whom wore a T-shirt which had 'Arnold Is Number One' written on it. |

| I saw San Andreas last week - ludicrously cheesy and predictable with some utterly cringeworthy lines. It's your bog standard disaster film, as Shanks says. I was still somewhat entertained throughout, but there's no point going to the cinema to see this. Wait till it's on ITV in a couple of years time. |

| On Tuesday I saw Jurassic World and, unlike our shanks, I didn't like it much. It was incredibly spectacular, natch, but everything else was so predictable that I couldn't even enjoy Chris Pratt. And that is saying something. |

| Sandler and his films aren't too bad. Some are even great.
Great: Happy Gilmore, Punch-Drunk Love, Wedding Singer,
Decent enough: Funny People, Anger Management, Click, 50 First Dates, Longest Yard, Waterboy, Big Daddy
Stupid but entertaining: Mr Deeds, Little Nicky, Billy Madison, Airheads
Then he has some awful ones: Going Overboard, Zohan, Jack and Jill.
I reckon Pixels will fall under the Decent enough category. Even if it is just a shameless Futurama rip-off. |

| Anyone seen Minions? If you haven't, and you're older than 10, don't fuss yourself. It's about as funny a film as you can expect when break-out comedy characters who can't talk* get top billing.
*I know, I know - the most fun I had was spotting what languages the Minions were robbing from when they spoke. There's some German, Spanish, English and French in there... "C'est la-bas", indeed... |

| You know what you should see instead? Inside Out. Standard Pixar fare, which means it's tremendous, barring some logical fallacies. - Spoiler:
And the most annoying character fades out of existence towards the end!
