So, what does everyone here think now that they've had a taste of our glorious ex-leader?

I've added him to the list "people I'd happily go to prison for punching in the face".

What with him and Canada's Harper being pushed out of their respective governments, it's a decent period for Westernised politics. England letting the side down again...

The news coming from Paris can only be described as deeply upsetting. A co-ordinated night of terror.

Nothing really to add to that. Deeply deeply upsetting.

Chilling, upsetting news. I can only offer my thoughts to those in Paris now. The world can be a horrible place, sometimes.

Sad news which I only found out about this morning, thoughts go out.

Next thing you know he's going to start talking about master-races. Waking up to this actually blew my mind, I didn't think we had a Donald Trump here in Australia.

The world has Donald Trump at the moment; that's part of the problem.

Also, I like how Mr. Abbott says he's happy to defend his silly budget... and then makes no (reported) defence of it.

Is it me or is the GCHQ Christmas puzzle basically a giant Picross puzzle?

Everything is a picross puzzle if you look hard enough.

Pen-and-paper Picross is hard though! Lost my way halfway down. And then there was no picture at the end, just a QR code, and I'd have had to tippex out all my crosses to get it read! Not worth it.

The three main roles of Harry, Hermione and Ron in the play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child have been cast. I like the decisions.

RIP David Bowie. Hoping that 2016 doesn't take as many legends as 2015 did.

Absolutely gutting. I'd just bought his new album on Saturday and spent my whole weekend listening to Bowie songs old and new. He was such an enigmatic, unusual figure he felt immortal. An inspiration to freaks, geeks and weirdos all over the world, his music and inspiration will live on forever.

I was shocked to wake up to this news this morning. Another musical legend gone.

Same on was breakfast and saw on twitter he passed away, very sad news. When we get to a certain game in a certain series we will have to remember Bowie.

This was a shocker indeed as I didn't even know he had cancer, as I said elsewhere I don't think there is a person he didn't influence/inspire in some way.

Devastating news, only ever got to hear a few of his albums, but between that and how much he's influenced makes this news absolutely crushing.  Rest in peace David Bowie, and thank you for all you've done.

It has been quite heartwarming today and yesterday talking to people. Bowie is universally beloved, and his message that being cool doesn't mean being normal really does seem to have spread. A life phenomenally well lived.

I, for one, am glad Bowie's dead.

This is the worst alternate account. This is even worse than Tingle.

Is this some kind of sick cosmic joke?  Because it's NOT FUNNY.

2016 is off to a seriously awful start.  Rest in peace Alan Rickman.
