Best I could think of is Fawful. "This battle shall be the delicious mustard on that bread! The mustard of your doom!" He can float using his headgear and his final smash can be his FURY. |

| My Z-lister entrant to Smash Bros. - Never trust strangers Sammy!:
Fuck Ridley - here comes the real Metroid starpower: it's everyone's slightly memorable bounty hunter, Gandrayda! Special attacks include transforming into other player and being pink. Final Smash: Horrendous voice acting.

| Oh Axis. I thought you were classier than that. My favourites: Also, this week's Smash Miits: - Monday (Greninja):
Apparently it has "sophisticated moves" and is hard to control. Mewtwo, we barely knew ye. Side special is Shadow Sneak, a disappear-and-ambush move. Can be charged for distance while holding the button, and Grenny can move while charging. I like that it's looking behind itself at Charizard. Nice touch.
- Tuesday (Final Destination):
Gerudo Valley edition. Plays "Gerudo Valley" in the background, to absolutely no one's surprise.
- Wednesday (Not Much):
Don't really know what to say about this one. Erm... ZSS' jetboots look nice?
- Thursday (Smash Run):
Left one's Tac from the Kirbies - steals your "charged power". Right one's a Skuttler from KIU - presumably it slashes you.
- Friday (Assist Trophies):
The interesting bit's in the text. "The 3DS version will have roughly the same types of Assist Trophies and Pokémon. Just roughly…" Hopefully that doesn't mean a straight removal to free up space, although I doubt Sakurai would do that anyway.

| Sakurai's Miits seem to have become less interesting since the Direct, reiterating things we already knew. Anyway. - Monday (New and Returning Items):
The Beam Sword features pretty colours. The Fire Bar features shrinking every time you take a swipe. Worst clobbering weapon ever?
- Tuesday (New Stage):
We all know this one now. Balloon Fight, complete with flippers. The stage loops around, so it's up or down for the KO.
- Wednesday (Not Much/Smash Run):
"Don't eat him. You can't eat him." Bless your youthful face, Sakurai.
- Thursday (Yoshi/ZSS):
Rainbow egg trail. New stance when firing the Paralyser. Move along, move along.
- Friday (Mega Man):
From left to right: MegaMan.EXE, X, Mega Man, Mega Man Star Force, and Mega Man Volnutt. What's a Volnutt when it's at home?

| I really do love the look of that balloon fight stage. Oh & about the fire bar weapon, maybe it does more damage than say the laser sword to compensate for the shrinking? |

| You'd hope so, but it might end up being the new Star Rod. After a couple of slightly disappointing weeks following the Direct, Sakurai's back on form this week. - Monday (New Assist Trophy):
MIDNA MIDNA MIDNA MIDNA MIDNAAAAAAAAshe's just an assist trophy? Aww. Still, nice to see The Best Zelda Character Ever making an appearance. She chucks things about, and apparently "Her uncontrollable, whimsical nature remains intact." Which is Sakurai-speak for "she's still a massive tsundere."
- Tuesday (Mechanics):
Tethers are longer, and multiple people can latch on, although only one can grab the ledge afterwards. Nice to see this under-used mechanic being buffed.
- Wednesday (New Item):
Floaty jump? Floaty jump. They're still thinking about whether to implement a tail attack.
- Thursday (Stage Hazard?):
FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCK The Orne from KIU is "even more powerful than the Ultimate Chimera in the last game." FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
- Friday (New Assist Trophy):
Hi Dillon. He "can even do things like a quick charge." Does that mean anything to anyone who's played Dillon's Rolling Western?

| About time they're buffing the stage latching stuff, I found myself using it a lot when using toon link in brawl because he was floaty enough to make comfortable use of it, but adult link really could have been a whole lot more versatile and better off with it having a good reach to it. Now if only they could buff throws to their melee levels, they nerfed them so much in brawl I barely touched them whereas I loved using them in melee.
And I liked the star rod! At least it was more useful than the home run bat, especially when using falcon. |

| Star Rod being better than the Home Run Bat? Madness! The throwing power of the bat alone makes it better than the rod. |

| I found the rod better as a throwing item as well, one well placed throw while someone's off the stage would see them plummeting to their doom, and if you landed a smash attack (which is far easier to do with a star rod than the bat as well) it inflicted a great deal of damage. It just seems to have more uses to me. |

Eh? Really? To me the bat was a great item all round |

| I only ever use the HRB as a throwing weapon, and it's still better than the Star Rod. Then again, I don't play as Falcon much (because he's rubbish). Anyway: - Monday (Stage Details):
It's like a game of Where's Wally - can you find Little Mac's opponent? Also you can make the lights crash to the floor. Which I guess gives away the question above.
- Tuesday (Smash Run):
"Members of the Enemies That Love to Hide Association, here are Octorok and Met. Calmly grab them while they're ducking." If we're seeing Mets in Smash Run, does this mean that the Badniks are on the cards too?
- Wednesday (Trophy):
I'm confused. Wasn't The Wonderful 101 a third-party game? So are Nintendo including those as trophies now? If so, we could actually see some Monster Hunter trophies in. That'll make Jas happy.
- Thursday (New Item):
So I guess you throw it at someone? I GUESSED WRONG. You turn into one and clout your opponents - or if you're me, fly off the stage into oblivion.
- Friday (Returning Item):
The Dragoon has a new targeting screen. In stereoscopic 3D on the 3DS, no less. And here's the item itself, looking shiny. "I wanna get on it. I wanna get on and ride it." Do you, Sakurai? Do you really?

| I wonder if it'll work like a weaker version of Sonic's Final Smash, or a stronger version of Fox's Up+B, or what.
Speaking of which, I really hope they nerf Sonic's Final Smash. Make the 'hog himself stronger if you must, but Super Sonic was ridiculous. |

| Sonic's final smash among a couple of others was the main reason I rarely had smash balls allowed, it's super boring to have to wait for it to finish before the match can continue. At least with smashes like marth's they're over almost instantly, the super mode type final smashes were really annoying match stoppers that simply slowed down/stopped the flow of a match entirely in my opinion, and super sonic takes the cake, unavoidable with not even a chance to dodge and goes on way too long. |

| I actually found Sonics smash interesting because he was so useless otherwise. Picking him was like taking the risk that you would eventually get the smash ball.
Platinum are a third party, but I think w101 was funded, and is owned, by Nintendo. Also, Nina from metal gear solid and shadow from sonic were trophies last time anyway. |

| Which is fair enough, but both of those franchises had a playable representative; and if Red isn't playable, nobody else from 101 is going to be. If "published by Nintendo and exclusive" is the criterion, however, it does raise the question of whether we'll see other such trophies - like, say, Bayonetta. Which I'm sure some of you would be very happy about. |

I thought sonic was rather good to be honest, frail as glass paper but easy to combo people with due to his sheer speed. He needs some buffing to be sure, but the potential to be a great character is there in my opinion. |

| Another week of SSB4 goodness. Or, well, just SSBU this week. - Monday (Little Mac):
He's very nice, Sakurai, but we've all seen Wireframe Mac before (apparently originally drawn by a young Shigeru Miyamoto). What else you got?
- Tuesday (Charizard):
Charizard's new side special (replacing Rock Smash, which goes to down) is Flare Blitz. Powerful, with a recoil effect if you hit, just like in Pokémon. Mega Evolution confirmed for Final Smash! Looks plasticky.
- Wednesday (Trophy):
One of Sakurai's personal favorites[sic] apparently.
- Thursday (Assist Trophy):
Gather round, folks: it's time for a Sakurai history lesson. "The TV-Game 15! Color TV-Game 15 is a home entertainment system that was released in 1977 in Japan before the release of Space Invaders. This is the oldest game to join the Smash Bros. series. "Normally, controllers for these types of games had knobs with variable resistors--these allowed the players to control in-game movement by how far they twisted the knobs. The TV-Game 15 used microswitches instead. We've worked a little too hard to reenact the behavior of the original, so the paddles always move in linear paths with the same, consistent speed. We pay attention to such peculiar details!" Altogether now: "ARIGATO SAKURAI-SENSEI."
- Friday (Villager):
Different costumes include being a girl. Pretty cool, Nintendo.
