| Just been looking at them on eBay seem a bit expensive for what they are and also don't they feel a bit bulky. Also wonder why the SMASH pad isn't a wavebird but I think I will end up getting one as I've not used a wired controller since before the 360 launched in a meaningful way part from Retro gaming, ohh maybe playing Last Story as I used the classic pro which is kinda wired. But it is just for one game though if the cube controller will work with other games hmm. |

| Didn't feel bulky at all to me - it's probably my favourite controller of all time. But yeah, I can't imagine they'll have dropped in price much. |

| My wavebird has yellowed like a snes (stupid ABS plastic) so I might look into a cleaning solution for it. |

| I've never understood the wavebird love so it'll be the wired pad that I'll be using. Playing with a certain amount of wire is nothing new to me because I always have my PS3/4/360 plugged into my laptop. |

| I will be sticking with the wii remote and nuncuck myself. Some may call that crazy but I actually got used to it and fond of it playing brawl. I actually bought a gamecube controller to play brawl with and found it too strange to go back to. |

| My biggest issue with 'mote and 'chuk is the jump button being on my left hand. I end up using both the stick and the jump button and jumping constantly and wasting multijumps. |

| - Monday (Pokémon):
You've seen Meloetta and her painful notes before, but the big news today is that every Pokémon that appeared in the Greninja reveal trailer will appear in-game in some form. We haven't seen Swirlix outside that trailer yet... Jigglypuff replacement?
- Tuesday (New Stage):
Now this is pretty splendid. It's called Golden Plains, and when you collect 100 coins... ...you go gold! Your attack power rises and you won't flinch. Nice! Albeit revealed in the Treehouse already.
- Wednesday (New Character):
I've got no problem with Pac-Man as a piece of gaming history, especially not alongside Pong, but - well - another third-party character? It's not like he's been in some great games recently either. Oh well, let's see what's on the site today... Pac-Kirby looks the wrongest of the wrongs. He does get a pretty nice 3DS stage, though... ...erm... Is this his Wii U stage? I don't know what the hell she is.
- Thursday (Mode):
Home Run Contest returns for SSB3D. Now with "sturdier glass and doubled speed for long hits" and the ability to compare scores through Global Smash Power.
- Friday (Not Much):
"This is quite a line-up of characters for the gaming world." Yes Sakurai, but it's not really Nintendo any more, is it? "I hope you enjoy this truly unique celebration!!" Well you may be a bit disappointed there, Sakurai...

I had that problem initially too, but I solved it by setting the d-pad on the remote to act as the jump button. Once I did that I actually found myself being more comfortable playing with it than the cube controller, and after spending the better part of a year playing like that I couldn't go back to playing with a gamecube controller now. Also seconding the less than impressed view on the third party characters. I could tolerate sonic because of the fact he was always a big rival for mario back in the day and therefore has a sort of pseudo-nintendo thing about his presence in smash, but the others just don't feel like they belong. Smash is about nintendo and I'm not even remotely impressed with the approach of just sticking in any old character just because they're iconic or their owning company is helping out with development. To me a character needs more than just an iconic status to make it in to Smash. Otherwise why not throw in every old iconic game character we can think of? Like Chocobo and or white mage from final fantasy. |

| See I think sonic makes total sense due to the rivalry and he's game's now all feel like something to be on a Nintendo system. I think lost world sold better than tropical freeze, so they do well.
Mega Man has has had nearly 50 game's on Nintendo systems being a huge part of the NES.
Pac-Man does make the least but this one is based on the arcade one, so has history going for him and maybe even a rivalry for 8 quarter's in the arcade with donkey kong.
Crash makes no sense balla but neither did snake to me. |

| I'm pretty sure balla wasn't making a serious suggestion there. I like the additions of non Nintendo characters as its like a little nod of appreciation, also they aren't really guaranteed to be permanent members of the roster. (yes I know Sonic has returned) (side note: any chance of a pac-man emoticon?)

| Of course I was, Jas! And while we're at it, who was the main character of Dark Souls? S/He'd fit about as well! I think we'll see Mega returning. Much less sure about Pac-man, thankfully. As for the emoticon, I'll see what I can do. |

| Third-party characters should only be included if a) they are iconic enough, b) have at least some tie to Nintendo and c) fit in with the general "feel" of Smash. I think Sonic, Mega Man and Paccers definitely fit those criteria. Also, how about this for an emoticon? |

| He was in a couple of Mario Karts. Eh, at least it's not Snake. I liked his playstyle, but man alive he was a bad fit. |

No main character (but I think you knew that) but I'd take Solaire. Praise the sun! Then we have this - Spoiler:
& this - Spoiler:

| - Monday (Mii):
Projectile weapons for the Swordfighter: Shuriken of Light, Chakram, and Gale Strike. The Chakram is a B+> move (the others are presumably B), and can be directed or stalled in mid-air.
- Tuesday (Trophy):
The Eggrobo. Will also attack you in Smash Run.
- Wednesday (New Mode):
Trophy Rush, it's called, and seemingly replaces the Coin Launch. "The details…will be kept secret for now."
- Thursday (Pac-Man):
"Pac-Man's standard special move, Bonus Fruit. As you charge this move, the bonuses will change, and all of them have different characteristics and movement patterns when thrown. The bonuses cycle in the same order as in the original game, and the charge-up period doubles once you cycle beyond the orange." I'm not going to stop going on about how I don't think Paccers fits, but he does seem to have some interesting moves. Like Snake, then.
- Friday (Donkey Kong):
Storm Punch is one of DK's three B special moves available through customisation. Not available in online With Anyone, though. I do wonder whether high-level tournament play will include customisation attacks or not...
Also, Sakurai has said that Miis aren't allowed online because he's afraid of the copyright repercussions. |

Which is a shame, as the presence of a Chakram means it's crying out for a Xena Mii. |

| I reckon the customiseable moves will be allowed in competitive play as long as the move isn't stupidly OP, of course. Diversifies the movesets and whatnot. |

| - Monday (Not Much):
I still don't know what franchise this stage comes from! Is it Pac-Man related? Help me out here please!
- Tuesday (Link):
Skyward Sword original clothes Link. They're doing some very nice stuff with costumes this time around.
- Wednesday (New Mode?):
"The all-time classic Balloon Fight returns to the modern age, now playable with four players. This is only a small piece of this jam-packed game." Have they included Balloon Fight in SSB3D as a bonus mode? Nice if so!
- Thursday (Stage Details):
For all those who wanted Nabbit as a playable character (you twisted people), he appears! As a Mushroom Kingdom U stage hazard. Luigi's in that sack, apparently.
- Friday (Mii):
Big Miis are more power character-like, small Miis more speed character-like. I suddenly realise why they're needing the extra time to balance the game...
