| I welcome this. Nintendo 64 games have aged really badly, and could do with HD remakes to remind people how good they were. If this is true, I'm hoping Mario Kart 64 gets ReUmagined, there's a game that has aged horribly.
As for Gamecube games, I can't see why anyone would think they need HD remakes, those games still hold up really well, and I for one don't need to be rebuying titles from that era. |

| Agreed. I'd rather not have remakes at all, but if they're doing remakes, give me a new SM64 which doesn't defaecate on the formula/controls like the DS version did please. |

Only if they bring the polygon models up with it- there are plenty of N64 emulators knocking about which will play a game at 1080p, it just depends how long it takes to redo the textures. |

| As much as my inner fanboy wants some of these, the rumor originates on Paul Gale Network. The website is famous for creating the Metroid X Starfox rumor.
Don't put too many chips on this happening.
And yes folks, one of the ones mentioned was Wave Race. |

| I said something similar elsewhere on the forum but with DS games rather than N64, not a fan of remakes at all the only way I'd pick up any of these games is if they were significantly changed with gamepad features or I hadn't played them before. |

| That's a curious one. There are no N64 games on the Wii U VC, and you do have to wonder why. I would welcome this, provided the price points were sensible, and the range of games was good. Nintendo need to get more companies on board than just themselves (as ace as that would be, variety is where it's at). |

| Those rumours are heavily fake. The available details are completely wrong (unknown source, highly detailed unbelievable information) and it's from the same person who claimed that Retro were making a "Metroid X Star Fox" game.
Still, it would be nice if some got the Banjo-Kazooie/Perfect Dark treatment. |

Pretty much this, Wind Waker HD is great and all but it shouldn't have to be the game that sells the system, it should be something alongside those games, I'm sure plenty of developers will be willing to pick up an old Cube game whilst Nintendo get cracking with the new stuff. |

| Okami was on Wii and done on the PS3 in HD, not to mention that the GamePad is perfect for Okami.
Some of them (like Okami) can be done with less effort than Wind Waker and released digitally as cheaper titles. |

| So.. whisper it.. it seems gaming sites are slowly coming round...
Eurogamer: "Why the Wii U is the best next-gen choice this Christmas."
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-10-26-the-strongest-next-gen-line-up-from-the-unlikeliest-source
EDGE: "Why Wii U should steal your Christmas."
http://www.edge-online.com/features/why-wii-u-should-steal-your-christmas/
I think its a combination of Mario 3D World actually looking good, Driveclub being delayed, the fact that both PS4 / XB1 won't be fully featured at launch and will clearly have to suffer the same Day 1 updates that everyone ridiculed the Wii U for.

I don't agree with all this "3DS is backtracking" nonsense, though. 3D was always an option, not a necessity. By design. |

| That's... surprisingly creative! I'm all for such a high-profile shopfront having a display like that in its window. |

It would be one thing if Nintendo said "We're only making 2DS games from now on and we'll stop making the 3DS" but they're not... Even more importantly, The 3D was always restricted, in that a game had to be playable in 2D as well as 3D, so no game was allowed to be 3D only. The reason was obvious, that not everyone can see 3D, plus the younger children it was bad for. That was made very clear from the outset. Plus, any game could be made in 2D if that is what the developer wanted. Less focus on the 3D aspect was always an option, just as touch controls on the DS always was, and is on the 3DS as well. I hate selective argument to suit an end. |
