Anecdotally, I suppose- bob into the shops, observe a lack of Nintendo games on the second-hand rack? I think GameStop did a used game chart at one point, though. |

| Nintendo have some ideas as to what to do with the gamepad. NFC and DS VC games are among them.
Meteos on the VC? Probably not, but I would probably buy it again. Same with Ghost Trick. |

| Nintendo, as CVG rightly note, announced DS games for Wii U in January, and it's still a stupid idea, unless there's 3DS crossplay. |

| I don't know why they'd even bother bringing smt vs fire emblem over given we're never going to see smt4 here. |

| Hmmm....wouldn't the strength of the fire emblem series carry it? (Not that SMT isn't well known) |

| I'm keen enough on fire emblem that I wouldn't care if I was unfamiliar with smt. |

| Last year's not-E3 Direct, I believe. There wasn't even any game footage at the time, though. |

| "Not-e3 direct"
C'mon now just because it isn't a standard conference doesn't mean it isn't e3 related. |

| I guess, but for me E3 will always be the press conferences. Nintendo's chosen to operate outside that framework, and fair play to them, but their Directs etc. don't feel like part of E3 to me. |

| It was actually revealed way before that, in their January 2013 Wii U Direct. (AKA the Direct where Nintendo panicked and showed everything - Yarn Yoshi too.)
Additionaly, not sure if it has been mentioned here, but Mega64's latest podcast is an interesting watch/listen - it covers the making of the Nintendo E3 Fils-A-Mech video. http://www.mega64.com/blog/mega64-podcast-303-nintendo-3oh3-starwars/ (Relevant stuff starts at around 30 minutes in.) |

| That long ago, it has to be shown at not-E3 but E3 direct. |

| SHOCKING NEWS!!! The lost Wii game Sadness is still a thing and will now be on Wii U. http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2014/05/exclusive_lost_wii_game_sadness_to_be_revived_as_wii_u_exclusive - Quote :
- We're here today to tell you that our two studios — HullBreach Studios and Cthulhi Games — are working together on bringing back the Sadness IP. Your readers are probably looking at their screens in disbelief. Quite understandable! I think we should let them blink a couple more times and let this sink in!

| I remember first seeing it and thought it would be cool, but will it even see the light of day on Wii U if it's targeting 2016. |

| Less than four years after the Wii U's launch? Why wouldn't it? The Gamecube had about 5 years' duration. Don't tell me you've become one of the "Nintendo needs to ditch the Wii U" crew... |

| GameCube still made money though and was more viable to keep around.
I feel when they replace the 3DS to replace the Wii U at the same time and just release one system that plugs into your TV as well as being a handheld. |

| Reason I'm saying to have one system, as a Nintendo fan you have to buy two systems if you want to play of Nintendos great game's and with very little 3rd party support on either system. You have to rely on Nintendo there self's to make games, surely it's easier for them to develop for one system and focus on that. |

| I'm sure it would be easier. I'm equally sure that it won't happen. For reasons of pride, or the difficulty of meeting the expectations of both sets of customers, or just because that's what they've done up until now and because Nintendo is a very traditional company, I don't think that anything short of... well, corporate takeover or bankruptcy would cause them to go down the one-system route, and if they did they'd probably forego the TV altogether. |
