This time round, the torch is going to be a sort of flat rectangular shape. And you can draw on it. |

- Reason I'm saying to have one system, as a Nintendo fan you have to buy two systems if you want to play of Nintendo's great game's and with very little 3rd party support on either system. You have to rely on Nintendo there self's to make games, surely it's easier for them to develop for one system and focus on that.
So because Nintendo make great games they shouldn't have 2 systems on sale? Bit contradictory, 3DS has good 3rd party support as well and whilst Wii U's could be better it's still perfectly easy to get your fix of 3rd part games on Wii U alone. |

| Some of my favourite games on wii U are from third party developers. (MH3U, Rayman legends, Zombi U) |

| I'm just trying to think from a business sense, if they had one system to market and make games for. Surely is easier then having two systems.
I'm a big fan of the Fusion rumors, that there's a handheld and a console. |

I'm a big fan of the Fusion rumors, that there's a handheld and a console. It might be easier in some regards but not in others, with wii U its still early days & has in my book time to recover (3ds was in a similar position remember?) will it be the top selling system of this gen? Probably not but it should do enough to get by. Also one system only could be a massive risk as what if it flops? Then they'd have no safety net (3ds) to catch them. |

What do you think about it, Axis? I think NintendoLife lost a lot of credibility reporting that rumour. As for the game, I don't really care. There's lots of games in that style now. |

| Zaphod and I came to the conclusion in another thread that no gaming news outlet currently serving has any credibility. Apart from BitParade, natch.

| Some good news, we all know the Wii U will have first party games second to none but has & looks like it will struggle with 3rd party games. Well apparently Reggie gave a interview where he was asked about 3rd party which he respond with we have plans to do more with 3rd partys with things like bayonetta 2 & devils third in the future. So the Wii U still might not be getting Arkham Knight, Witcher III and FIFA any time soon but we can hope for few more titles.
Vanquish 2 anyone. |

| Good news indeed. I was delighted to see Nintendo double down on Wii U, with only one 3DS game shown during the Digital Event, it at least shows they are committed to the platform. With so many of the big games due in 2015, though, I wonder if there will be another wave of big releases before QOL launches. Zelda U and Star Fox could well be late 2015/2016... |

| It is, I'm guessing any of these games Nintendo publish or let people use there IPs will be from Japaneses developers though mainly as I can only think of few from western developers Red Steal on the Wii, ZombiU on WiiU & Lego City on the WiiU/3DS that some think are decent as I'm not counting all the shovelware on the Wii.
Someone like Ninja Theory would be a good one to work with as there games are all decent but never seem to well that someone might not take the risk on them a bit like Bayo 2. |

| Something did come up a few days ago but take it how you will. It is a rumor. The same source that leaked Devil's Third last Christmas has said there are at least 3 others that started as multiplatform projects but became Wii U exclusives as other publishers turned them all down.
Everything about it is speculation beyond that. I can say if Nintendo were interested I did find a candidate of what one might be but other guesses by people have ranged from wild to outrageous.
If Nintendo are going to make a habit of this that would be the best thing for all of us. Every big dropped game Nintendo picks up is basically a sure thing to be great since they focus on the Wii U and Nintendo helps out. I would like to see more but how far they go with this practice will depend on money made back on their bigger franchises and how successful the practice becomes in expanding their horizons. |

| Whats the potential candidate then.
Yeah it is cool Nintendo are doing this but Devil Third is a unknown quantity it might not sell well being a new IP, so they might not take the risk again as it might not make them any money but then there's things like Bayo 2 which should sell well.

| Catalyst. Now this I can understand as to why they rejected it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56ePxA5B3Jg
It is by Next Level Games and they are working with Nintendo. I found it typing "cancelled ps3 360" on youtube. Depends how much stock you put in this rumor.
Overall I think the tactic is working for Nintendo. Aside from Wonderful 101 their ventures outside had good attach rates and did boost the Wii U in sales (even if the numbers aren't mind blowing). Zombi U, Lego City and MH3 (despite being failures) did arguably sell well given the situation the Wii U was in at the time. In fact I think Capcom did say they were pleased with how Monster Hunter performed globally. |

| Yeah doesn't look good and how would Nintendo sale it as at least with Devil's Third you could put on a poster from the man behind Dead or Alive & Ninja Gaiden comes Devil Third.
On those games you brought up LEGO is 9th, ZombiU 10th, Monster Hunter 12th best selling Wii U games on VGChartz. |
