| Count me in, watching the FA cup final as I write. Who would pick a Scottish keeper over Steve Harper? Pure Madness.
Also, they really need to crack down on diving. Its a bookable offense, Carzola should be off. |

| Your number 10, if it stays at 10 we will get three team each being 30. And I will just leave out the 2 lowest ranked teams in the tournament. |

| The weather will do England in, in my opinion, if the quality of the opposition doesn't get there first. At least, I think that's what Jas was trying to say... |

| The draw will be today around 3pm, as there is 12 (missed counted) of us the draw will be as complicated as the actual draw, as there's 32 teams and 12 of us. |

| Perhaps you could randomly draw two teams for the twelve of us, then randomly draw another (third) team for a random eight participants. Basically, eight forumites would have three teams, while four would have just the two. Potentially leaves a couple of folk at a disadvantage, but who's to say that someone won't have Iran, Australia and Costa Rica while another will have only two teams in Brazil and Spain? It would account for all the teams and every forumite.

| I'm doing something like that, but with continents. So everyone should have one European team & one from the Americas with Africa & rest of the world being random. |

| I'm typing this like a live blog.
Welcome to the first ever GNamer Bi-Annual Football Sweepstakes Tournament. I say Bi-Annual as we try to do this again for Euro 2016 and the World Cup 2018 & so on.
There is 12 of us this time, to try to make it fair as possible there will be two pot's first. Pot 1 will have 12 of the 13 European teams with Pot 2 having all 10 teams from the Americas and one randomly selected European team which will be drawn from pot 1 and then put into pot 2 and the highest ranked team of the other 9 teams which is Ivory Coast will also go into Pot 2.
The teams will be drawn on who signed up first, so myself first with cappa being last then after those 24 teams are drawn, the remaining 8 will go into pot 3 and then all 12 of us will go into pot 4 and the first 8 drawn will get a 3rd team.
The European Team from Pot 1 going into Pot 2 has been done.
To now Pick from pot 1 masofdas Pot 1 Portugal Zero Pot 1 Italy Jimbob Pot 1 Germany Drunka Pot 1 England Andy Pot 1 Spain Jaster Pot 1 Russia Dusty Pot 1 Belgium Jay Pot 1 France Vido Pot 1 Greece Tokyo Pot 1 Holland Smurf Pot 1 Bosnia and Herzegovina Cappa Pot 1 Croatia
Pot 2 Now Masofdas Pot 2 Brazil Zero Pot 2 Mexico Jimbob Pot 2 USA Drunka Pot 2 Ivory Coast Andy Pot 2 Chile Jaster Pot 2 Costa Rica Dusty Pot 2 Uruguay Jay Pot 2 Ecuador Vido Pot 2 Honduras Tokyo Pot 2 Colombia Smurf Pot 2 Switzerland Cappa Pot 2 Argentina
So now on to the other 8 teams and who will get a 3rd Australia goes to Tokyo Cameron goes to Masofdas Algeria goes to Vido Ghana goes to Andy Japan goes to Jaster South Korea goes to Dusty Iran goes to Smurf Nigeria goes to Jay
So this is what the final draw looks like, also I've put what Group your teams are in next to them. Masofdas gets Portugal G, Brazil A and Cameron A Zero gets Italy D, Mexico A Jimbob gets Germany G, USA G Drunka getsEngland D, Ivory Coast C Andy gets Spain B, Chile B and Ghana G Jaster gets Russia H, Costa Rica D and Japan C Dusty gets Belgium H, Uruguay D and South Korea H Jay gets France E, Ecuador E and Nigeria F Vido gets Greece C, Honduras E and Algeria H Tokyo gets Holland B, Colombia C and Australia B Smurf gets Bosnia and Herzegovina F, Switzerland E and Iran F Cappa gets Croatia A, Argentina F

| Yeah, happy with my two. I've always had a soft spot for Italy, although their on-field behaviour seems to let me down at every major tournament. Also delighted to be given reason to cheer on Mexico! I remember the excitement at a Mexican player's kangaroo hop tactic a few years ago... |

Ah, I'm not sure about that. I'd definitely expect Argentina to mount a serious challenge - especially if they can avoid Germany in the QF - but with Modric, Mandzukic and Rakitic aside, I don't see anything in that Croatia team that leaves me even slightly optimistic. Remember: we've beat them home and away in the last twelve months. |

| Ill take Greece, They have some great young talent and a solid defensive record. They should get through the group stage at least. |

| Quite pleased with my lot: a Uruguay team that could do some serious business, a darkhorse in the shape of Belgium, and South Korea who... wear red shirts. |
