| That's reasonable I suppose. I just don't see the difference - HD is HD to me. |

| I know I'm probably on record saying this about HD as well, but... no-one needs 4K, unless they have a 72" plasma. Developers definitely don't need it; far too much time is spent crayoning textures as it is. |

I'm definitely in this camp. To be honest, I barely notice the HD-ness, unless there's a lull in the gameplay. There are games on the Gamecube that still look as beautiful as anything on the Wii U to me, including WW (natch) and Sunshine. |

| I wouldn't say there's not a noticeable difference between SD and HD to me, as Wind Waker HD is visibly better looking than Wind Waker GC. But that's not to say Wind Waker GC still isn't a good looking game. Good visual design trumps technical hyperrealism any day for me. |

| I think that it also depends on the type of game, if it's got realistic graphics games from the cube won't hold up whereas cartoony styles don't age anywhere near as much. |

| You can get decent 4K's under 70inch's like this http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/tv-dvd-blu-ray/televisions/large-screen-tvs-32-and-over/samsung-ue55f9000-smart-3d-4k-ultra-hd-55-led-tv-21488704-pdt.html
Samsung even do a 31inch and some the new crazy of curved oled screens, only thing 4K could be dead before it starts as 8k will be here soon the 2022 Olympics will be shown in 8k.
I can barely play Twilight Princess on my TV it looks horrid, urghh SD on a HDTV doesn't work. Hence why I've got two TV's which one is a CRT from the 80s where I play most of my retro consoles and Wii.
This is my actual TV minus the kinect type crap http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/tv-dvd-blu-ray/televisions/large-screen-tvs-32-and-over/samsung-ue46f7000-smart-3d-46-led-tv-21298607-pdt.html |

| I waiting in till there about £1500 for 4k in a 42inchish then I will think about upgrading but if 8k are available then, I'll just wait in till that goes down to about £1500 |

| I still don't own an HDTV... I'm a bit of a late adopter when it comes to tellies, not a big deal for me. |

| I'll likely get a 4k TV in around 5 or 6 years, when the next batch of consoles are released. |

| I only got an HDTV when I got my Wii U. Having played my brother's 360 on a normal tv and not even been able to read the text I'm glad I did. |

| Yeah you seem to be Jay, I had my 1st HDTV before the 360 was out. I can even remember paying £25 for DVDs I've always been a early adopter even had a HD-DVD player. |

| I'm unsure if 4k will actually take off. Isn't 1080p already basically crystal clear and perfect as it is? Then again I'm still using a sd tv so what do I know about that? I probably should upgrade already, but don't dvds look like garbage on hd tvs? |

| Not with a up-scaling device such as a PS3 but I just upgraded to Blu Ray. |

| I think it will be a long time before we see many games at 4k.
Heck, the PS4/XB1 are still apparently struggling to reach 1080p60. |

| PS4 is seeming to be having less trouble to get to 1080p, but i was thinking 4k films etc for next few years with the odd game running in it. |

| I can only detect super-high quality when watching movies on Blu-ray. I'll be damned if I can tell the difference between 720p and 1080p when playing games. And I still swear that Super Mario Galaxy is prettier than any 'next gen' game of last generation, and that's running on 'underpowered' Wii hardware. It looks fantastic on my HDTV. Heck, even the original Wind Waker looks prettier than its Wii U counterpart (from the comparison videos, at least).
Twilight Princess looks pretty gash these days, granted, but that was an upscaled GameCube game with non-stylised graphics. |

| I don't think I know the difference between 1080p and 720p off the top of my head, but I can't agree that Galaxy looks better than all of the PS360's games. It still looks stunning but it's a rare case of a really nice looking game on the Wii and it doesn't look as nice on an HD screen. Sure it looks nicer than a lot, but compared to something like Ni No Kuni or The Last of Us it just doesn't hold up as well. |

| Also, the difference with Wind Waker is like night and day to me. The GameCube version actually looks ugly now. |

| Also 1080p isn't everything it's all about specs on the TV, my nans TV is 1080p but looks horrid compared to my TV.
So if your looking for a TV go for SPECS over size. |
