I've not played WWHD or even seen it in the flesh yet, but from the videos I've seen online, I don't like the way it's watered down the bold colours, as it were (particularly with the grass and the ocean). That and it doesn't really look cel-shaded to me anymore. I will be picking it up soon, though, and I know I'll love it regardless of my current opinions. |

| I think WWHD is certainly prettier than WWGC, but I wouldn't go as far as to call the GC version ugly. |

At one point it did look watered down, but they changed it so it was bright again before release. |

| I'm glad someone else has mentioned Wind Waker HD doesn't really look cel-shaded anymore in places -- as I've ranted about elsewhere the rim lighting really kills the cel shading, and it seems to be the biggest offender whenever Link is in shadow (so at night and indoors. And also when he opens chests).
Wind Waker HD still looks great, but I'm really not a fan of the rim lighting -- it's at odds with the rest of the visuals and introduces an element of inconsistency throughout. It's a shame, too, because I love how the world is now draped in realtime shadows, their crispness complementing the cel shading perfectly.
Basically my main problem with WWHD is that the visual style is at odds with the artwork from which the game's visuals were originally based off, so much so that the artwork for WWHD is different from the original game. But at least it still looks really nice.
On the other hand, Ocarina of Time 3D, which received a huge visual boost, saw the developers at Grezzo decide to respect the original artwork.

As for the 720p next gen thing, I can't say I'm surprised. The XBO/PS4 really aren't that powerful, particularly in the CPU department, where, core for core, Intel's latest Atom processor for tablets outperforms the AMD Jaguar Cores in the PS4/Xbox One. Of course, the CPUs aren't really accountable for the 720p, but I did want to make that point nonetheless. |

| Young Justice
Based on several factors we've had to cancel the Wii and Wii-U versions of Young Justice: Legacy.
We regret that this decision will prevent some fans from playing the game and the finding out what happens in the story. There were a number of reasons ranging from quality issues to lack of retailer support, but know that we didn't make this decision lightly. We are a fairly new company, and unfortunately both of these platforms presented challenges we couldn't overcome.
Please accept our sincere apology.
We look forward to delivering the Xbox360, PS3, 3DS, and Steam versions in less than a month.
PS4 App will come out November 22nd in Europe.

| Blockbuster:has gone into administration again, so get down to your local see what's cheap. I am hearing anyone that preordered a xbox one or ps4 won't get there deposit back. Update they are giving you refunds.
EA Confirms: last night that Titanfall will stay a Microsoft exclusive for Life, but this is not where this ends someone tweeter Vince Zampla asking if respawn aren't going to make PS4 games, he replied yeah we will not just the FIRST Titanfall. To continue this even further there was articles about a week ago from EA saying there not biased towards Microsoft and have some plans with Sony, Battlefront PS4 exclusive anyone.
During that Ubisoft came out and said that the exclusive Sony stuff in Assassins Creed IV will stay exclusive for life not the reported 6 month's.
Here's a link to nintendo's fiscal report talking about sales EA predicts that the PS4 & Xbox One will sell a combined total of 10 million units before the end of the fiscal year.
Take-Two: confirms they have 10 Unique Next-Gen games in development.

The exclusive content has never been reported to be exclusive for 6 months. The 6 months thing is for future DLC. |

| Resident Evil 5 has become Capcom's best selling game of all time passing Street Fighter II, explains why we got the dreadful number 6.
STEAM pass 65 million users, even if 1% off that buy's a steam box that's 6.5million that' a lot.
PS4 missing features at launch such as friends assist and it can't play MP3's or CD's. But really who cares if it plays CD's the Wii didn't play DVD's and that didn't seem to matter. |

| I can understand the fuss about the PS4's lack of multimedia functionality given PlayStation has always been positioned as a multimedia hub of sorts, and it represents a step back from what Sony used to offer, but like masofdas it wouldn't concern me personally, as I never use my games consoles for consuming entertainment like Netflix and the like.
In fact I'm surprised no one's raised any concerns about the lack of entertainment apps arriving (like Netflix, Crunchyroll, LoveFilm and all that are on Wii U, Wii, PS3, Xbox 360), though again in this case, like with the lacking music playback capabilities Sony's own services are offered.
I'm more concerned about the missing suspend/resume standby functionality (smartphone/tablet style) at launch myself, that's a really useful feature and should make gaming on the TV a bit more flexible in the absence of seamless off-TV play (I'd rather just suspend my game by putting the PS4 into standby resume mode when the TV's in use than fiddle around with my Vita to enable remote Play). |

Right now I'm more worried about Netflix Vita ever coming over here than a PS4 version. I still have other things I can watch it on on my TV. |

| So it does seem that Sony's commercial over-exaggerated what Remote Play can do.
Of course, I only ever expected it to work with local wi-fi but Sony's "Day With Playstation" ad did show a kid playing a PS4 game on their Vita while they were at school, which is rather misleading.

| Tons of News Valve have said they have no pans to make any of there games SteamOS exclusive, so hopefully when the figure out how to count to 3 there games will come to Xbox One & PS4 etc. Staying with Steam the prototype has been scene and that only valve are making the controller not sure how that's going to work as there not making the system partners are. Mark Rubin of IW the team behind COD: Ghosts has come out and explained why Xbone version is 720p not 1080p like the PS4. I'm hearing different things but what I can tell they didn't know the xbone specs, they made COD in 1080p for next gen but then couldn't get it running on Xbone when they knew specs with a stable frame-rate, so they decided to run it 720p instead. They said they tried to do it but something do with the OS on Xbone being the main issue. Spike TV are having a PS4 launch special on the 14th and new games will be shown, I'm putting money on that a game is shown from Naughty Dog. Assassin's Creed: Rising Phoenix the rumored VITA title that Ubi denies has been spotted in AC4 during level 7. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will release as a standalone game in Spring 2014, Boxed PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Ground Zeroes will retail at £29.99, while the digital versions will retail for £19.99 The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One digital versions will retail for £29.99. Also on page one, I guessed the date of the PS4 & I was right kinda. Forza 5 is $60 in USA, the season pass for it is $50 Microsoft your having a laugh right. |

| As expected, all of Valve's talk about how SteamOS is 'open' was a PR Play. The OS is just Steam in Big Picture mode, with a web browser. You can't do anything else on it, there isn't even a file manager to browse files. The openness only extends to being able to do what you want with the hardware (you could dual boot Windows on it), which I can already do on any Windows PC (I can install any operating system on any of my PCs).
In comparison, Windows 8 is far more open, simply because I can run any software I'd like on it. SteamOS is just Valve building a closed platform on top of Linux (a bit like what Amazon did with the Kindle Fire, which lost them a place in the Android Open Handset Alliance), and it's a great masterplan simply because there isn't any gaming competition on Linux right now, so Valve has an effective monopoly on Linux gaming from day one.
I have no problem with SteamOS being like that personally, but it's the principle of it all.
The fact that Valve kept bashing Windows 8 for being closed (it isn't, only the built-in Windows Store is closed, the rest is business as usual) and how SteamOS being 'open' is pitched as a selling point against Windows further confirms the hypocrisy that's been happening since, I dunno, 2011: http://www.develop-online.net/opinions/gabe-newell-s-hypocrisy/0117917
Meanwhile, I hope this guy's (http://www.theverge.com/2013/8/14/4622618/microsoft-hires-jason-holtman-former-steam-boss) work comes to light before SteamOS launches just so Valve have some sort of competition in the PC gaming space. |
