| It's so counterproductive, right? I've got the season pass for Arkham Origins because I picked it up on the cheap due to a Steam Sale glitch, so it's not a massive concern for me, but it's hardly going to persuade new consumers to buy their DLC. |

| A Nintendo Direct at ten in the evening might mean I can actually watch the whole thing without BT's crap connection losing me the stream. |

| With an RPG-esque mode! In May! Very happy Balla. Little Mac isn't bad either. EDIT: Steel Diver: Sub Wars out now? You're taking the piss, Iwata! But in the best way. |

| Donkey Kong, Wright/ Layton, Smash Bros and Mario Kart are all games I knew I'd be picking up soon but nice to see more of them. Steel Diver and Pokemon Link look like fun little diversions. Nintendo Football Crap and Mario Golf look good but not really my jam. Yoshi's New Island still hasn't quite grabbed me. Etrian Odyssey and Weapon Shop look good but I'm not necessarily excited about them. X and Bayonetta 2 I am most definitely excited about.
Not much new stuff, then, but we were told it was just gonna be upcoming games of the near future, so I don't think that was a haul you can complain about. Now, time to play through Bayonetta 1 . . . |

| The most disappointing Direct yet, for two reasons:
1. The stream wasn't up to the task.
but most importantly
2. The comments of many of the uStream viewers on the comment:s feed emphasised yet again that gamers are c**ts. |

| For me:
- Yet another Smash character I care nothing about. - A load of 3DS games I'm simply not interested in. - A rather cool-looking little football game (I don't like football, but it looks good). - The X trailer pointed out that I probably won't like the game (due to the combat system) - Seeing all those Koopa character just puts me off Mario Kart 8. I'm getting a horrible feeling it will be a lot like MK Wii (which I hated). - Bayonetta looks decent, but it's a "rent or wait until cheap" kind of game (unless this one is a lot better than the first).
Overall, I was pretty disappointed. |

| I do the same thing every Direct. I should just watch them on Youtube an hour late, like +1 channels on Freeview. |

I had no problem with the stream, but God did I have a problem with the whiny puking mewling GoT-spoiling masses. Perfectly happy with that. It was pretty much exactly what I expected - a new Smash character, new demonstrations of all the big upcoming games (albeit not the best one possible of X), a couple of downloadable extras, and more Mario Golf. As an extra, I'm becoming keener on Kirby 3D, at the expense of YNI which still looks naff. They still need to announce Bayonetta HD for the Wii U. That's my only real complaint. |

| Anyone who was disappointed by the actual content of that Direct must have gone in with unreasonable expectations, despite what Nintendo had said about the presentation before it began. |

| I suppose if you don't like little Mac, Mario kart Wii, xenoblade and bayonetta it makes sense bit I don't know how to communicate with someone who has such a different outlook on life... Oh well, each to their own. It'll be a few months before we get the "real" Nintendo directs for the year, with platinum star Fox, retro metroid and f zero by the burnout guys. |

I am keen to know what would have made it for you, though. We weren't going to get any new game announcements at this point in the year, apart from a few minor ones. And did you honestly think X, made by MonolithSoft and looking very much like Xenoblade from earlier trailers, was going to forego a battle system that most people loved? Trying to looking at things from your point of view, the only real duffer I can see was Little Mac's announcement. |

Overall, I was pretty disappointed. Where you playing on PS3, as Bayo is a excellent game on 360. I can't see how they can make number 2 better then the first. To me the direct was okay I'm not bothered about little mac, all the 3DS looks good and will be good but not amazing but hard to follow 2013's line up. Mario Kart 8 looking good still but do we need all the koopa troopers. X is looking excellent, I can't really comment on the battle system as I've barely played xenoblade but sooner have that then proper turn based in a game looking like this will be. Bayo 2 is still looking a must buy but still would like to see Bayo 1 ported to Wii U especially to have something on the U in June-July time and get people ready for Bayo 2 in Q4. Also the 3DS seemed to have more stuff then Wii U which needs stuff, also apart from DK & Kart what was shown that has a release date for the U. |

I would have been happy with some new information on the Zelda DLC for Sonic. - masofdas wrote:

I played it on 360. It's a really good game, it's just not near the top of any lists. |
