| I really don't get what people expect Nintendo to do, release a top game every month? Not even Sony or MS do this, sure there is a big gap but you're bound to find a game to fill it that just might not be on wii U & that's perfectly fine. |

| Yeah I will find things to play on other systems, but I'd sooner support Nintendo over them. |

| Who asked for the Koopalings, then? Because I didn't. Still, at least they're not Boom Boom, and those courses still look nice. |

| Mario Kart's rosters started getting pretty weird from Double Dash onwards. I found Mario Kart 7's selection especially so. I would agree that it seems a bit excessive to have all the Koopalings, but then again I thought it was a bit much to have four baby characters in Mario Kart Wii... |

| I don't have a problem with them joining the roster (surprised its took this long tbh) plus I've always been a fan of Ludwig Koopa. |

| As long as they all handle sufficiently differently, I have no problem with this. You wouldn't foist seven clones on us, would you, Nintendo? :affraid: |

| At least they're characters. To my mind, having "Koopa Troops" or "Dry Bones" or "Toad" just seems racist. Don't they get names, Nintendo? |

I can agree that Ludwig is the best of the bunch. Roy and Morton Jr., though... Here's a link to that trailer. Do I spot a spin attack? Poor old Captain Falcon - his niches are slowly being stolen from under his nose. |

100. It needs 3000. Iwata: "and they may not be characters you expect!" Me: "Ooh, they're gonna do it! They're gonna finally make it the racing version of Smash Bros! There's going to be Link and Samus and... ... oh." Still super excited though! |

If you mean what Mario does at 0:25, I don't think it is a spin attack, just a boost that happens when drivers hit the centre part of that split path. - masofdas wrote:

It currently has 24... - Spoiler:
(Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Toad, Yoshi, Bowser, Koopa Troopa, Donkey Kong, Wario, Waluigi, Toadette Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Baby Daisy, Baby Peach, Rosalina, Larry Koopa, Morton Koopa Jr, Wendy O. Koopa, Iggy Koopa, Roy Koopa, Lemmy Koopa, Ludwig von Koopa)
Add in some veterans who haven't been seen yet like Birdo, Diddy Kong, Funky Kong, Bowser Jr and King Boo, plus second outings for Lakitu and (technically) Shy Guy, and a few other possible debutantes (E. Gadd, Dry Bones, Monty Mole, Cranky Kong, Dixie Kong, Hammer Bro), roster will probably be about 35 drivers. |

| I would like ALL the Mario characters please (apart from Baby Dai... oh). Not particularly keen on other Nintendo characters making an appearance, although I wouldn't mind seeing a Smash Kart spin-off. Apart from this sentence, I'm not going to deign to respond to suggestions about third-party characters. - Dusty Knackers wrote:

I can't see any boost at 0:29. Maybe it's a powerslide boost? I dunno. Nice touch if so. |

| Where's Funky Kong? We can't have the return of wheelies (boo) without him and the Bowser Bike he rides now, can we?
Joking aside it's a shame there is no spin attack after all (though I guess it wouldn't be right to throw in such a move in an item-filled game), if only because it'd make it even more like F Zero.
I love the way the game takes the retro courses and makes them topsy turvy. I'm pretty sure I saw an old Mario Circuit track like that. |

I can't see any boost at 0:29. Maybe it's a powerslide boost? I dunno. Nice touch if so. Ah. Looks like Mario and Peach hit the banana, spin out and then drive in to a boost section, although the banana remains there after they've hit it, curious. |

| Really in-depth analysis of the tracks shown in the new trailer by GameXplain here. May contain spoilers (if you consider obsessively pointing out insane details you've missed in a trailer you've already seen a spoiler.) It made me appreciate how much work goes into each level.

| I like that the Koopalings are there, they've played a big part in recent Mario games and they're a damm sight better than the likes of Wiggler and Petey Pirahnna, just a shame we still have so many Baby characters.
With the release of Tropical Freeze and it's numerous characters I wouldn't be surprised to see Dixie and Cranky join the cast, no Funky sadly. |

| Better than Petey P. and Wiggler? No chance! Wiggler gets red and makes train noises when you hit him - what's not to love? - Dusty Knackers wrote:

According to ONM, the drivers spin slightly whenever they collide on a zero-gravity section. Could be annoying if so. |
