| The Nintendo investor Q+A English translation is here. A lot of interesting info here.
Highlights:
Using the word "commitment" for this year's profit was a mistake as it led to many outlets speculating on Iwata's resignation. The 2DS was 1.5 years in the making. Trying to leverage smartphones to market their games, while not releasing games on them. Nintendo isn't into money-hatting third parties.

| 1.5 years? What a horrible waste of hardware development time that could have gone towards the next proper console. Famitsu has published a list of the best-selling games in the 21st century in Japan. Japan really really really likes Nintendo games. |

Especially when it boils down to taking a year and a half to go "You see that switch? Don't put it in." |

Especially when it boils down to taking a year and a half to go "You see that switch? Don't put it in." "GENIUS. Ship it out!" "What next boss?" "How about a Wii...but smaller...and with no pesky Internet? HOP TO IT SCUM." |

| Here's the UK Chart
01. Call of Duty: Ghosts 02. Battlefield 4 03. Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag 04. FIFA 14 05. Grand Theft Auto 5 06. Batman: Arkham Origins 07. WWE 2K14 08. Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition 09. Football Manager 2014 10. Skylanders: Swap Force
COD: Ghosts has had the 3rd best launch of the year, the wii u version has sold less then PS4 version but that version has sold more copies then AC4 on PS3 did launch weekend and more then Battlefield 4 did on PS3 also over weekend. So either propel are waiting for Next Gen of these games or people just want COD on PS4.
Diablo III on PS4 will be called Ultimate Evil Edition includes all the DLC including reapers of souls.
Microsoft have tried getting Xbox 360 games to run on Xbone via cloud but is proving problematic, so are unlike to be any BC on Xbone according to senior director of product management and planning at Xbox Albert Penello.
Anyone that get a xbox one early will not be able to do anything with it in till launch day as it won't be able to connect to xbox live into launch and the console needs a update to be used. |

| Warner has announced Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor Announced, a next-gen, third-person Lord of the Rings action game that promises an "original, dark story of retribution". It will be on PS4, Xbone, PS3 and X360. Looking like a 2015 release.
The Voice Commands on the PS4 will not work with 3rd party apps at launch.
North America is having a Nintendo Direct Tomorrow which is focusing on the 3DS. Update Europe are also having a Nintendo direct tomorrow.
PS4 to have trophy rarity system, so there will be bronze, silver, gold and platinum but also these will have rarity with them so, if everyone does the 1st mission on Killzone that trophy will be a common bronze, let’s say no one buy’s putty squad and I get a bronze in the game due to not so many people having it, it would be a very rare bronze trophy. This will also affected your level next to your account, so getting rare bronzes might be worth same as platinum.
Sony Versions of MGS: V Ground Zeroes will have exclusive content.
You will be able to listen to music on your PS4 whilst playing a game or surfing the net etc.
The Retail Version of Wii Fit U has been delayed in Europe by 1 week.
Last of Us Story DLC will be shown during the PS4 launch event.
Minecraft PS3 edition is in the works.
LEGO Marvel has been delayed on Xbox One, not what's going to happen in GAME as that's 1 of a few titles that is 1/2 price at launch when bought with the system. |

| I hear you can't put your own music on the ps4, which kind of kills any true use of a the ability to play custom music in games in my opinion. Unless what I've heard is wrong, but I heard talk it can't play MP3 files a while back. |

| Is that so? Well then, it pleases me greatly to see custom music finally being adopted on a system wide scale, the few games I've played that allowed it were just that bit more fun with the personal touch being able to set the mood with your own music provides. |

| PS4 has sold 1,000,000 units in the first 24 hours. To put that into perspective, the Wii did 600,000 in a week. |

| I wonder if the Xbox One will get close to matching that. Based on the early flack they got, I can't see their numbers exceeding it. |

I think the Wii would have easily sold more if Nintendo had made enough of them. |

| That did cross my mind when I posted that. I remember the demand for the Wii being astronomical back at its launch. Difference is, Sony had the foresight to ship enough units out to meet demands. |

| Welp. Xbox One won't support surround sound through devices connected to an HDMI at launch.
Isn't that a major oversight for a device that lauds itself on being a box designed for the living room for multimedia purposes? |

| Rumour: Telltale developing a Game of Thrones game.
I REALLY hope this is true. There's not been a good GoT title yet, but one in the style of The Walking Dead adventure game would be mind-blowing. |

I would buy whatever services was necessary to play that. Guaranteed. Thrones might not have a good videogame yet but it does have some ace board games. |

| Just watched the trailer - looks like a return to darker storylines! Also, releasing on PS3 is nothing new, considering P4 was originally on the PS2, plus you've got to take into consideration the fact that the PS4 isn't releasing in Japan till next year, so the market will hardly be saturated with PS4s before then. |

I meant more like it's releasing on last-gen hardware whilst the current generation is in the process of releasing. |
