Not at all, it is a very very rare occurrence that you are trapped in your spawn and the actual spawn point itself has a protective shield that enemies can't shoot through (you can shoot out) not to mention you can super jump to a team mate who may be further ahead on the map.
It was just two people (I think) I had pinned back and I got super lucky that I survived as long as I did.
EDIT: Also on most of the maps it's very difficult (or impossble like on Saltspray rig) to get to the enemy base, skatepark is just a very open map overall.

I seen one during the Europa League final on ITV 4. I'd imagine that they'd be on a lot of the kids TV channels, your Cartoon Networks and that.

I've seen a few folk on Twitter call this a classic, but I'm assuming that it's purely the online experience that makes it so. I own Splatoon but I'm offline with my Wii U; I've played the first ten-or-so levels of the single player and haven't gone back to the game in almost a week. I can take it or leave it, truth be told.

While I'd say calling it a classic this soon is a bit much it is absolutely brilliant and that's all aspects of the game, you are quite early in the story tbh but I wouldn't say it is unfair to say the main meat of the game is the online multiplayer.
Again though on a whole it's easily one of my favourite games of the year so far.

I doubt this ever gets done, but given how divergent the weapon set of Splatoon is some sort of co-op campaign mode has a lot of potential.

Same, but I don't see them adding something like that. Maps, game modes, weapons, maybe even singleplayer DLC but not a separate co-op campaign.

I see the same sort of comments on videos of a youtuber called VideogameDunkey (who in no way put's out serious videos) from time to time, I guess some people are just really dumb.

As for Splatoon itself I've been having a tough time in ranked battles lately (B+ matches are no joke), especially last night when I couldn't get a run of wins going at all so my overall rank didn't budge much in an hour or so of playing because I was stuck in a loop of winning one and then losing one.

No. No that's just wrong. I want to say what my first thoughts were upon seeing the white ink but because I am the innocentest member of this forum I shall tell you that milk was my third thought. The sickening brightness is all part of the game's charm anyway.
