| I think it's a measure of how much I enjoyed the anime that I'm prepared to put myself through the agony of waiting rather than spoil it for myself.
Well, for now, anyway. |

Five Star Stories has been a regular in Newtype (Japan) since it started in the late '80s. When I was working in London I used to pick it up each month from Books Nippon, next to St.Pauls along with Famitsu and other weird and wonderful games mags (Super Hippon! anyone?). Even chatted with Gary (Mean Machines) Harrod in there once. I wish I could afford (both financially and space-wise) to still get it. Best design and art of any anime mag. |

| For those of you jonesing for your Attack on Titan fix, an abridged comedy series of AoT has started up on YouTube. The humour's a little hit and miss, but there are some brilliant lines (all of Mikasa's are GOLD) and a great wrestling reference when the Armoured Titan popped up that I appreciated. |

| I found a godly Mikasa wallpaper yesterday. Some of the art made by people for this series is just stunning. Uses forum code, to get the full resolution just click the image itself. |

| I haven't read any of your comments as such prior to me posting now, so I won't read spoilers, but today I watched the first episode. I have downloaded 8 of the 25 so far. The first episode seems pretty intense and leaves me feeling this might really appeal to me. I enjoy many types of anime, but nothing has grabbed me as hard as FullMetal Alchemist and that was quite a few years ago now. I will see if it works out soon.
In the meantime, now I have a much better internet connection and plan, anyone want to star suggesting some anime I could find, download and try? I would appreciate some suggestions. |

| I don't think anything I've watched besides maybe AoT can compete with FMA. Nothing in the same category, anyway. I really liked Hikaru no Go, but that's about children playing board games.
Full Metal Panic is meant to be quite good, I think? Never seen most of it though. |

| If anyone's interested Anime New Network recently had an interview with the recently revealed dub actor of Eren, Bryce Papenbrook. Linky |

| I'll probably watch the dub to rewatch the series, just to see how it holds up. |

| I think in some series it works. The dub in Dragon Ball Z works really well. I prefer subs, natch, but I'm not going to pass this off without having a gander first. |

| I swing both ways myself, it all depends on the quality of acting and whether the dub took extreme liberties. If it's reasonably faithful and has good actors (like in say, code geass) I'll go dub, if it doesn't I'll go sub without blinking an eye. Unless it's Pokemon, I can actually enjoy the alterations in that for some reason, probably because the series isn't even remotely series to begin with. |

Funny you should bring that up - I couldn't get along with Code Geass's dub. |
