In my mind, Cooper is a cyborg more than a full-on robot - and even then, mostly a man. It could be a war wound that had to be patched up with metal. It could be something entirely different.

I feel like half this thread is me or Jay nudging people (although ZJ did show me up on my last nudge). Andy, can you get it done today, do you think?

You wrote them really well as well! I think, by some miracle, we're creating a fantastic fantasy world. I loved all Balla's fantasy racism as well.

Much though I enjoy writing Dick, he probably reads the Steampunk Daily Mail.

Observant people may notice that I added a "deadline" to the first post. Mostly so I don't have to keep nudging people and feeling like a dictator. Embarrassed Please check your deadline when it's your turn!

Mine will go up later today.

Either way, that was all the invitation the masked man needed. He snuck into the kitchen silently and took up a position in the darkest corner of the room. Still wearing his hat and coat, despite the fetid warmth of his surroundings, the curious eyes of the mask began to sweep the room. They alighted on a particularly ornate tray of goodies. The coat flipped and a tiny bottle appeared in the man’s gloved hands. The mask’s smile appeared to get wider.

I hope y'all hadn't forgotten about this!

I'm gonna have to have a nice, thorough read of everything that's been written before I do my next one. It's pretty thrilling stuff so far, guys!

Correct me if any of these are wrong:

Lucia Velli - In the palace hall, her plan going down the shitter.

Luka Velli - Hiding in a servant's room, oblivious to the chaos.

Chuck - Cowering somewhat in a corner of the palace hall.

Cooper - In a toilet stall, preparing to defend the Item/Macguffin on the Brass Commander's orders.

Brass Commander - Somewhere in the castle, basking.

Duke of the Low Forest - Tripping balls.

Royal Family - Probably panicking in the palace hall.

Roger - Dead, presumably killed by the Brass Commander.

Harrison and Hieronymus - Gawping at the box in Hieronymus's office.

Dick - Guarding in the cold.

Parker - Dead in some bathroom somewhere.

Masked Man - Presumed to be one of the Magi of the Ivory Tower, and suspected by Lucia to have roofied everyone. Slinking out the main hall.

Seems right, although bar some last-minute heroics, I wouldn't count on the Duke emerging from his trip any time soon.

Also, did Luka's part in the Velli plan end with his manipulation of the seating plan?  I'm not clear on that.

He's still outside, trying to get in through an "irritatingly complex lock".

We're not going with "magi" as a singular, are we?  One magus or mage, two magi, surely?

Turns out it's a cadre of elderly women who are called Maggie. They knit the mesh armour of the brass men like nanas knit shreddies.
